Can Alsina Merela is a fabulous and modern holiday home located in the idyllic Central Catalonia and can accommodate up to 12 (+2) guests. With its beautiful surroundings and luxurious style, Can Alsina Merela is the perfect holiday home for a group, looking for a great vacation in the authentic Catalonia.

There is a large covered terrace on the right side of the house, just next to the pool. Here you will find the absolute musts when traveling to Catalonia: shade, BBQ, large outdoor table, a hammock and sun chairs. Right next to the terrace is the pool area which has a beautiful view looking over the valley. There are also sunchairs lined up on the side of the pool, where parents will be able to read a book and enjoy the sun, whilst watching over the children playing in the pool.

You will step into the large kitchen when entering the house from the terrace. The kitchen is such a great room as it is very open, spacious and modern. With large panorama windows looking over the valley, providing not only a great view but also the perfect lighting. And with the direct entry to the outdoor facilities, it almost feels like an outdoor kitchen! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you may need including fridge, freezer, oven, stove, coffee machine, washing machine etc. There is even a large flat screen TV on the wall, so you are able to watch TV whilst cooking dinner if desired. The house also has WIFI. At the end of the house, you will also find the lovely lounge room, which like the rest of the house also has the very large windows.

The first bedroom is located next to the kitchen. It is a large double room with very nice tiled floors and with the same big windows as seen in the kitchen. The room has a double bed, and also has the possibility of setting up an extra two beds. There is also a luxurious ensuite bathroom. The next bedroom is also a double room, very similar to the first one and it also has an ensuite bathroom. On the next level is the third bedroom, which is a triple room. This bedroom stands out a little as it has a gorgeous French balcony, and of course also an ensuite bathroom. The fourth and last bedroom, is perfect for the guests, looking to draw back a little at times. This bedroom is a triple bedroom and has a rather large private balcony.

Can Alsina Merela has the privilege of having its own little wine museum. As the kind owners live below the house on the ground floor, they will be able to show you around the mini museum, and explain about the ancient wine traditions. The owners assure that you will have 100% privacy, but will of course be more than happy to help you, if it should be needed. Only 15 minutes away, is a great place where they make their own home made great-tasting and organic wine. The kind owners can also help you with renting bikes, and can show you great biking routes in the area.

Nous avons passé une semaine fin juillet 2021 à sept chez Marie et Joan dans leur superbe maison. L'espace est très grand (une salle de bain par chambre) , la décoration de très bon goût et la maison est très agréable à vivre. Le cadre est lui aussi très plaisant. La situation géographique permet de rayonner facilement dans la région.
Joan a été un hôte tout à fait charmant, qui nous fait le plaisir de nous accorder une visite très complète et passionnante de sa cave. Nous nous sommes régaler de toute sa culture et de son histoire.
Nous sommes donc ravis de notre expérience et nous recommandons vivement cette location.

We spent a week at the end of July 2021 at Sept at Marie and Joan's in their beautiful house. The space is very large (one bathroom per room), the decoration is very tasteful and the house is very pleasant to live in. The setting is also very pleasant. The geographical location makes it easy to shine in the region.
Joan was a very charming host, who gives us the pleasure of giving us a very complete and fascinating visit to her cellar. We feasted on all its culture and history.
We are therefore delighted with our experience and highly recommend this rental.

Solo tenemos buenos comentarios para esta casa, es fantástica todo tan bien pensado, las camas, sabanas etc de lujo, detalle muy bueno son las lamparas de leer y las cortinas foscurit. La cocina muy bien equipada, eche de menos una nespresso en la cocina pues el café de filtro nunca me sale bien. El jardín maravilloso, aunque sería mejor con césped pues es muy incomodo pisar tierra al salir de la piscina. En definitiva la recomendamos a todo el mundo y agradecemos Joan y Marie el cuidado que ponen en todo sin olvidarnos de Antonio

We only have good comments for this house, everything is so well thought out, the luxury beds, sheets etc., very good detail are the reading lamps and the curtains foscurit. The kitchen very well equipped, I miss a nespresso in the kitchen because the filter coffee never works out for me. The wonderful garden, although it would be better with grass because it is very uncomfortable to step on land when leaving the pool. In short, we recommend it to everyone and we thank Joan and Marie for the care they put into everything without forgetting Antonio

We strongly recommend the place. We really had a great stay. The house is really confortable and was refurbished recently. The house isolated but well located for hiking lovers and they are some interesting places to visit close by (1h to 2h drive). 10 minutes drive away from the house there is a town where you can find all you need.
There is no air-conditioning system but at night temperature drops and there is some air coming from the surrounding mountains.
There is a small farm close to the house with donkeys and goats! Ideal for kids.
The owners, Marie and Joan, were ideal hosts: they welcomed us in the best way, they were available upon solicitation and even offered us to visit their Vineyard!
I strongly recommend to ask for a visit! They walk you through the winery explaining the 1000+ years-old of wine history of the family and place, answering all you questions and sharing their passion. The wine tasting was of course one of the best moments ;-).
