In fantastic surroundings in Catalonia, Spain , you will find the unique holiday home Can Benó which has been fully restored. Can Benó lies between the two beautiful cities Berga and Solsona (there are 14 km. to each town).  The small villages of Mont Major and Nevés are a bit closer, from where you can buy bread and more common groceries. In Mont Major are also a bar / restaurant and a wonderful delicacy.

The holiday home, with room for 12 (+2) guests, have five beautiful and spacious bedrooms and 3 super modern bathrooms, one of which is a suite. On the ground floor is a large common area with lounge, dining room and kitchen, large family room with 4 single beds and a large bathroom. On the house first floor you will find another lounge area and the remaining 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Here are also two balconies with unique view over the Catalan landscape. The entire house is of a great level of quality as all materials are top quality and everything has been done with great care. This has created a rather unique holiday home where you just feel really good and thus will create the ultimate environment for an excellent holiday.


The house is located on the top of a small hill, causing one to feel, that you from the garden, almost can see the entire world and the peace here is perfect for a vacation, where you want to recharge and relax (when not on tour around the region). On the property are a great fenced swimming pool (which is an advantage if you travel with small children) and a large lawn at the back of the house with a playground and space for ball games. The house has a covered BBQ area, which you will prefer on those hot summer days or on the many long summer evenings. The terrace has BBQ, outdoor kitchen and a gas cylinder to the large paella pan.


There are many factors that create a great holiday home. Casa Benó meets just all of them! The decor is lovely, location and views are fantastic, the pool is fenced patio is covered and there is an outdoor kitchen. The garden has space for ball games and it is not far to the nearest village and it lies in the gap between two great cities. Barcelona is less than 100 km. away and Costa Brava 130 km. ABSOLUTELY a great choice of a holiday accommodation - here one can only feel good!

Huis en ligging zeker een aanrader, ruim zowel binnen als buiten. In perfecte staat, gastvrouw zeer gastvrij en alles correct verlopen. Enige aandachtpunt is de toegangsweg vanop de openbare weg tot aan het huisje, onverhardeweg in mindergoeie staat. Verder uitstekende vakantie gehad.

House and location definitely recommended, spacious both inside and out. In perfect condition, hostess very hospitable and everything went correctly. Only point of attention is the access road from the public road to the house, unpaved road in less good condition. Furthermore, had an excellent holiday.

Maison et emplacement définitivement recommandés, spacieux tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. En parfait état, hôtesse très accueillante et tout s'est déroulé correctement. Le seul point d'attention est la route d'accès de la voie publique à la maison, route non goudronnée en moins bon état. De plus, nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances.

We stayed at Can Benó for a week in August 18. The house is beautiful, clean, and well furnished. The location of the house is amazing, you can't help but relax when you open your bedroom window and see miles and miles of countryside. It is very quiet and peaceful. The only thing you hear is church bells in the distance, cow bells (also in the distance), and the occasional tractor. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed barbecuing outdoors too. The pool was lovely and although small, plenty big enough to have fun in and do some swimming.

The owners live close by and were very friendly and accommodating, especially as we arrived at the house at midnight!

My only word of advice is consider hiring a 4 wheel drive car if you stay here. There are two main routes to get to the house, one involves about 3km of undulating dirt tracks, and the second dirt track is quicker to get to the main road, but is pretty steep. We didn't have a 4 wheel drive but did have a people carrier with pretty good ground clearance. We needed it!

Thank you very much for this feedback. The owners contineously try to keep the road in as good condition as possible. Many of our properties has a gravel road as the last part before arrival, and the condition of the road is affected by rain etc., but they try to keep it in a condition, where you can arrive in any kind of car (perhaps except very low sportscars). For Can Benó, Lisbeth and I stayed there last year, and the road was OK but we needed to pass a few points slowly.

However, as you mention, it will make it easier with a higher car, so when you pick your rental car, it might be worth taking into consideration. For any questions or doubts, we can always be contacted on info@sydensferiehuse.dk
