Masia Lagostea - Stay in a beautiful holiday home with private swimming pool - surrounded by vinyards!!

This is the holiday home that you can only dream of – situated in the middle of a vineyard – with just 10 km. to the beaches in Costa Daurada and within walking distance to the nearest village. This exceptional villa offers a magnificent swimming pool area with a covered chill out area with really comfortable sunbeds, Jacuzzi, Sauna, and a game hall with billiard and table tennis. The courtyard has a BBQ zone and here is also an entrance to a covered dining area in ground level. The view over the vineyard is excellent and the 500m2 holiday home Masia Lagostea has been decorated with a fantastic sense of its history!  

The house has 6 bedrooms. Five of them with bathrooms ensuite and a sixth bedroom without bath suitable for 1-2 persons or children, who like to sleep togetther. It has a total of 13 fixed places and, against supplement, up to 19 places with good quality addition beds. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with accessibility and adapted bathroom.

The house itself dates back to before XVII century. During the restoration of Masia Lagostea, the architect has carefully preserved the many lovely details that allow you to reimagine the grain dealer, wine presses, patios or a defense system based on loopholes perfectly preserved. Nowadays Masia Lagostea has not lost the relationship with the country side because it is part of a vineyard in the main Penedès district and here you will also find that the family grows a wide variety of olives. The wine and olive oil produced by the family on the fields surrounding the house, can be bought in the house.  So, this house offers you the possibility of enjoying an environment connected with the countryside and its fruits.

Entering Masia Lagostea you will arrive in a brilliant courtyard with small tables, a BBQ zone, and an entrance to a dining area in ground level. From here you will also have access to the pool area, which is secured by a fenced door, and another door will lead you to the Jacuzzi and sauna area.  The ground floor has an excellent welcoming area with the products of the fields, which you can buy, a restored grainstore, that has now been made to a cozy “cave” and here you will also find the game hall with billiards and table tennis. In this level, you find the adapted bedroom.

On the first floor you will find the 5 bedrooms, which are all beautiful decorated. Each room has private bath decorated in the same colors as the connecting bedroom. On this floor you will also find the dining area and the kitchen. In the loft is a lounge area with an excellent view and a large table which can be used as an indoor game room, in case the warm summer days get a little too hot.

Within the property of the holiday house there is a modern and exiticing playground containing a treehouse with a slide and two swings for the small kids

Just back from a fabulous holiday at this beautiful villa. This villa was a perfect size for our group of 11 people. It was spotlessly clean and had an en-suite facility for all of our bedrooms. The outdoor kitchen worked perfectly for enjoying eating outdoors. There was a lovely traditional village a short drive away and the bussling beach town of Calafell was approx 15/20min drive. The villa was also 30mins from Reus airport.
The owner Christina was really helpful as she delivered us extra fans for our rooms and a large parasol for the pool area during the recent heatwave. Christina’s daughter Maria spoke good English and was able to translate any of our requests to Christina she also responded promptly.
I would definitely recommend this villa for a relaxing family holiday.

Nous venons de passer des vacances fabuleuses dans cette belle villa. Cette villa était d'une taille parfaite pour notre groupe de 11 personnes. C'était impeccablement propre et il y avait une salle de bain pour toutes nos chambres. La cuisine extérieure fonctionnait parfaitement pour profiter de manger à l'extérieur. Il y avait un charmant village traditionnel à une courte distance en voiture et la ville balnéaire animée de Calafell était à environ 15/20 minutes en voiture. La villa était également à 30 minutes de l'aéroport de Reus.
La propriétaire Christina a été très utile car elle nous a fourni des ventilateurs supplémentaires pour nos chambres et un grand parasol pour la piscine pendant la récente vague de chaleur. La fille de Christina, Maria, parlait bien anglais et était capable de traduire toutes nos demandes à Christina, elle a également répondu rapidement.
Je recommanderais certainement cette villa pour des vacances reposantes en famille.

2 semaines passées dans cette magnifique maison au calme au milieu des vignes . Plage à Calafell ( environ 15 min ) maison très très propre parfaite pour grande famille et amis . Beaucoup de charme et les propriétaires sont sincèrement charmant et très à l’écoute en cas de besoin . En bref de superbe vacance dans une maison qui fait rêver ! Je recommande a 100%

2 weeks spent in this magnificent, peaceful house in the middle of the vineyards. Beach in Calafell (approx 15 min) very very clean house perfect for large family and friends. Lots of charm and the owners are genuinely charming and very helpful when needed. In short, a superb vacation in a house that makes you dream! I recommend 100%

It was a fantastic 14 day experience at Maisa lagostea. It is a very nice clean location with a lot of leisure opportunities The availability of a separate bed--and bathroom for each family was appreciate by all members of the group. The various maintenance activities by the owners each morning ( cleaning off swimming pool / Jacuzzi and others ) and the quick intervention in case of mechanical +/- electrical problems was a positive experience.
Concerns :
Only info in Spanish language - no information available in any foreign language in the villa. Communication with the Spanish owners was difficult, but was resolved by the possibility for us to call Abigail ( a translator Spanish / English. ). She helped us perfectly with our questions and comments to the owners. ( Thanks ).
As a result of the design of the complete electrical installation ( with solar cells & generator ) , the sauna and Jacuzzi could only be used one hour in the morning ( 9 – 10 am ) and 2 hours in the evening ( 19.30 – 21.30 pm ). Taking into account that the limited access to these facilities did not always fulfill the needs of the holiday makers, it would be worthwhile to redesign the system in such a way that the start of the periods (morning and evening) could be chosen by the tenants . The limited access to the wellness room with the specific reason should be mentioned in the documentation and/or website.

Shortcomings
1. Refrigerator (in the outside kitchen on ground floor ) did not work properly ( temperature still too high ). Reason : location of the refrigerator - during the afternoon sun shines direct on the apparatus
2. Too less shade at the pool .
3. Only one key of the outside door available ( we did not ask the owners another key )
4. It would be worthwhile to install one ventilator in each bedroom.
5. Too less teaspoons, kitchen knives for potatoes and cutting boards ( number of people )
6. The stability of the pool table could be improved
