In beautiful surroundings you find the house Can Maset, which is a lovely holiday home with swimming pool and room for 12+4 persons.
The holiday home is situated on the first floor in the big house, where the kind owners live in the ground floor, with their entrance on the front side of the house. So you will have the garden and pool area to yourself during your stay.
The house is situated without any neigbour houses and from the first floor terrrace or from the pool area, you have a splendid view of the beautiful surroundings. The holiday home has 5 nice double bedrooms (4 with doublebeds and 1 with twin beds) as well as 2 single rooms, alle on the first floor, where a common room provide access to the bedrooms and the 3 bathrooms. On the second floor, there is a chill-out area with two sofas in one end and a billiard table in the other end.
Back on first floor, you also find the well-equipped kitchen, open to the dining room and with direct access to the outdoor terrace. From the terrace, there is a stairway directly to the garden and the pool-area, so you will not have to make the detour around the house.
The garden has numerous olive trees, flowers a large lawn and there is also a BBQ area. The pool area is very good. It is fenced for the security, and it has a big swimming pool of 12 x 6 meters, which is quite big for a holiday home. The swimming pool has roman steps, which is nice, if you travel with young children. The pool area is also equipped with parasols and plenty of sun loungers.
There is a small village in walking distance with a nice multi court for playing ball and one restaurant. There is only 6 km. to the cosy town of Banyoles, which is well-known for its beautiful lake, excellent for a nice walk or even a swim. It also has a very nice antique town centre with a square with a lot of restaurants. A curious details is that the water from the lake is led by numerous small channels through the town centre to the river on the other side of the town.
Catalonia's second largest city Girona, which has a very beautiful old town, is 24 km. from the Can Maset and if you continue a little north, you will come in to the Costa Brava coast, which has a myriad of beaches (30 km from the cottage). When you are on holiday in the Girona region, it is a must to visit the “Museum Teatro Dalí”, located in the town of Figueres. Teatro Dalí is a “must see” museum which both adults and children will love (26 km. from the holiday home). You can also choose a day trip to the French border and and visit the French city of Perpignan, there are just 50 km. to the French border. The city of Barcelona is located 120 km. from Can Maset so it is also natural to spend a day or two in this wonderful metropolis.
Can Maset is a great choice of holiday, if you want a wide selection of activities but still want to live in authentic, beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

An obvious excursion during your stay is a visit to the Catalan metropolis Barcelona. Experience the Sagrada Família church by Gaudi, the Ramblas, the Gothic neighbourhood, the F.C. Barcelona museum at CampNou, the beach etc. The distance from most houses is between 1 and 1½ hour. As one day might not be enough, many choose to combine the stay in our Spanish holiday homes with some nights in our centrally located Barcelona apartments.
