Casa Puñol is a renovated holiday rental home for 12 guests, which has been rebuilt so that it now appears as a beautiful house, which has nicely integrated the modern with the traditional Catalan farmhouse. An absolute good choice of a holiday home for the "discerning" guest who wants the very best!

The country house Casa Puñol is from the early twentieth century. In spring 2012 it was finished as a thoroughly renovated and super modern house in unique surroundings. Today the house has a Scandinavian touch, with the large glass windows at the beautiful scenery. On the lower floor of the beautiful house is a large terrace with direct access from the living room and large modern open kitchen. The terrace also has a view to the house spa, which also has wall to wall windows, facing the impressive landscape.

The second floor also has a large terrace, where all 4 bedrooms on the floor floor have direct access to. The house swimming pool area is something  else.  It must be the very best, to enjoy a holiday around the pool with friends or family in such unique surroundings. The pool is triangular and a mechanism allows the wate rto constantly moving down over the edges. The pool's edges will be fenced with a discreet fence. By the pool you will find loungers for everyone, as well as a little covered area and a large wooden terrace.

The garden has a small playing field, basketball and in a small building to the right of the house is built a large BBQ area with patio, outdoor kitchen and table tennis. The house has 6 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. All rooms are held in the modern style - they are beautiful and bright and spacious. The floors have water-cooling, so the temperature can be reduced, when the summer is warmest. 

Enjoy nature in the surrounding forests, meadows and natural areas and use a day to explore one or more of the nearby hiking trails that will give you the opportunity to experience nature in its purest form.

The town Gironella is located 10 Km. from the house and the regional capital Berga is located 20 Km.  from Casa Puñol. Visit some of the fine villages in the region eg.Rupit, built on a  slope. The city Barcelona is located 100 km. from the house and you can also visit the Costa Brava, the beautiful city of Girona or spend a day in the Pyrenees with white-water rafting or other daring outdoor activities. It can also be recommended to visit the city of Vic, which has Catalonia largest market on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the year (morning).

Très bonne appréciation générale. Au milieu de nulle part avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la montagne (600 mètres). La piscine mériterait une bâche. La charpente craque la nuit, ce qui peut empêcher certains de dormir. Idéal pour la randonnée, le calme, la farniente

Very good general appreciation. In the middle of nowhere with an exceptional view of the mountain (600 meters). The pool deserves a cover. The frame creaks at night, which can prevent some from sleeping. Ideal for hiking, peace and relaxation

The property location was fantastic if you like peace and nature. The only noise is the cow bells and the birds and the insects. The size of the property was great, there was 8 of us and it was more than big enough.
The pool is not big but wonderful to cool off in and for kids to have a splash about in but very cold for adults until the air temperature reached about 30 degrees centigrade. We visited at the beginning of June so sure it will warm up as the season progresses.
The Jacuzzi had a slight problem getting up to the required temperature on several occasions but was promptly sorted out when we rang the owners. When we asked for towels for the pool it was no problem and Jaume came came the next morning with lots of large towels which was appreciated.
The barbecue/games area was separate to the house and was a real bonus. It was a great area for kids to be noisy and as the barbecue was quite smokey the smoke was kept away from the main house. The Paella dish was very useful but we needed an apron to protect from the spitting fire and heat proof gloves. (We have asked for these items so hopefully will be in place for the next guests).
The kitchen was reasonably well stocked though we have asked them to consider getting an electric kettle. If you are planning to cook please note the only cooking essentials provided was salt and sugar and and only little oil. No herbs in the kitchen but we found thyme and rosemary on the hills growing wild. You may need to buy pepper, oil, herbs ect. Washing up liquid, bin bags and laundry detergent was all provided.
We were impressed with all the information provided about what to do in the area sent by email on booking and hoped to do some of these activities but as the property provided so much outside fun for kids and the imediate vicinity was so lovely for walking there really was not not any time or need to venture further afield. It was a great place just to relax while kids and energetic adults are occupied.
We had great weather but there was not very much indoor board type games supplied though the games room did have, table football, table tennis, darts and kids archery.
Worst thing - the property could do with a little care and attention, especially the paintwork. It does not look like it has been re-decorated at the beginning of the season. It would also benefit from a little more warm Spanish decoration; a few paintings, wall hangings and rugs. It was very minimalist to the extent you noticed that it needed a good paint.
Best thing - the view and location which was outstanding and the outside games provided.

The house exceeded our expectations! The house was very tidy and clean when we arrived. The owner was a very friendly person and we could reach him whenever. The pictures on the website already look nice but when you're actually there, it's even better!
