It is not easy to find such a beautiful and authentic holiday home as Casa Rixeri. Not only does the house look beautiful - the interior of the house has even the same high standard. And what’s more, it is located in the center of Catalonia's wine country, making the surroundings and the view very breathtaking with vinyards all around.
Casa Rixieri is located in a very small village, which consist of 6 houses. Three of them are holiday homes. The owner of the holiday homes lives in the fourth house, while the fifth is a gourmet restaurant (open weekends only). Finally a Catalan family lives in the sixth.
The house has a size of 300 m2 and is in many ways a comfortable place to spend your vacation. The furniture is of high quality and the ceilings are very high. Even though the house has been restored, the history still shines through, which is to sense during your stay. There are many small details and constructions such as ceiling beams. Across the street (no cars) from the front entrance, you find the spacious shared pool area with a big swimming pool of 10 x 4,5 meters, shady area and sun loungers.
On the backside of the house, there is an outdoor space, where you can enjoy the view from the instructor-chairs. Also, there is space for playing. Inside the house, in the ground floor, there is a game room with a table football. Also, in the ground floor, there is one bedroom and one bathroom.
On the first floor, you find the kitchen and open dining room with access to a spacious first floor terrace with excellent view and a barbecue. Here, you can all eat out, enjoying the warm Catalan evenings. In addition, there are 3 large and very spacious bedrooms. They all have a different design, but all of them, have a high standard and a authentic look. One has a double bed, one has two single beds, and the third has two double beds, so it is possible to sleep 4 persons if necessary. Also on this floor, there is a fully equipped bathroom. The kitchen is like the rest of the house of high quality, and it has at the same time rustic and authentic furnishings.
On the second floor, the cottage has a large and spacious living room with fireplace and TV, two couches and a sitting area overlooking the garden. Also there is a suite with double bed and own bathroom.
The house is perfectly situated, with the beaches of the Costa Dorada only 18 km. away. The area is part of Penedés wine district, and there are plenty of opportunities to visit wineries in the area. The house also has a village with a few restaurants and shops within walking distance, and also a station with a few departures. If you want to take the train toBarcelona, it will probably be easier to park at a larger station. Among the other high-speed train one station, just 6 km. away. A little south,Tarragona with its Roman amphi-theater,Reus with a beautiful Gaudi museum or for kids Universal Studios Port Aventura fine outings.
