Can de la Sierra is a typical Catalan limestone house for 13+2 persons, where you feel the history, while enjoying all the facilities of the house. The house is situated on a hill with a view to the nearby village to one side and to the other side the beautiful scenery with fields and forest and with the Pyrenees rising in the background.
To the left of the house, the friendly retired owners live, and if you are lucky, they will come with fresh vegetables or perhaps milk, as they have kept one cow after retiring.
The holiday home has a closed courtyard with a covered terrace, where you can relax with some meat on the barbecue or enjoy a game of table tennis, if you are not relaxing in the pool-area with the big swimming pool of 8 x 4 meters. The swimming pool is fenced for the protection of small children, and there are swings and a slide. Next to the swimming pool, in the shade under an oak, there is a table for poolside dining.
Inside in the ground floor, there is the very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, ceramic hotplates, microwave, and fridge with freezer. Conveniently, there is a window from the kitchen to the barbecue area, so you can easily hand out things. On this floor too, there is a dining table and a sofa corner with TV. Furthermore the ground floor has 3 double rooms and 2 bathrooms with shower.
On the first floor, you find the second part of the holiday home. For winter use, here is another kitchen, also well equipped, and a dining room and a sofa corner. On the first floor there are 2 rooms with double beds and a triple room with a double bed and one single bed. This room has a balcony with a beautiful view and also 2 bathrooms. The house has WIFI internet.
From the house, there is marked walking route down to the village, which is less than 2 km. away by foot. In the village, you will find among others shops, a bakery, a small supermarket and some restaurants, including one of very high standard.
There are many outdoor activities in the area, and as the motorway is only 10 minutes away, you can get toBarcelonain one direction andAndorrain the other direction in less than 1,5 hours.
