If your dream is to stay in a privately situated holiday home with a mountain view and green surroundings, Casa Dañadas is the perfect choice.
Situated in 900 meters of altitude in the mountains between Berga and Ripoll, you find a house of very high standard and with so many facilities that you do not want to leave the house.
The house is excellent for a stay with family or friends, where you want to enjoy your holiday together by the swimming pool, at the big terrace making a barbecue, or competing in table tennis, table football, or billiards. Still, the house and the property is spacious, so it is easy to find a place for individual relaxation.
The surroundings are stunning and there are many walks, for instance to a small waterfall, where you can have a swim in the stream. If you want a meal of Catalan food, the owners’ restaurant is 3 km. away and serves very nice local food. If you want fresh bread, there is a house about 5 km. away making bread, so you can buy every day if you want.
The house is constructed on a hillside, and the fenced pool area is situated above the house, to benefit maximum from the stunning view. Attached to the house, there is a covered terrace with barbecue, and above the terrace, the game area.
When you enter the ground floor of the house, you find a beautifully reformed holiday home with a lot of atmosphere from the stonewalls and the heavy ceiling planks. The furniture is modern, and there is a large sofa corner with TV and DVD and in connection the large dining room with a long dining table and the modern and very well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, ceramic hotplates, fridge, freezer, microwave and much more. Also in the ground floor, there is a double room and a bathroom adapted for disabled, and a triple room.
On the first floor, there is an extra kitchen with dining area and another living room with TV. There are 3 double/triple rooms and two bathrooms. On the second floor, you find the remaining two double/triple rooms each with bathroom en suite. The house is very flexible, as all rooms except one in the ground floor can be made into triple rooms, or even 4-bedrooms.
From the first floor of the house, the back side is in level with the space below the pool area. Here, there is a very nice playground for children floored with rubber with swings and a slide. There is a path with no steps up to the pool area. The swimming pool (8,5 x 4,5 meters) is very nice for small children, as it has roman steps, and the first step has been made wider, so small children can sit there. In the summer, the pool area is equipped with sun loungers and parasols and there is a shower.
For shopping, besides the above-mentioned bakery, you can also buy basic things like milk, meats and cheese in the restaurant of the owners, 3 km. away. The nearest big town is Ripoll about 20 minutes drive away. It is a cozy and lively town, situated where the Freser river and the Ter river merge. Here you find restaurants and bigger supermarkets. In addition, there are trains to Barcelona, which is a beautiful trip by train. Faster, however, is the new motorway, making it possible to get to Barcelona in 1.5-2 hours.
