Can de Quima-a cottage with room for 8+ 2 persons located in the middle of the Catalan vineyards


This holiday house is beautifully situated in a small valley with vineyards -nicely insulated from the noisy and unattractive mass tourism. Here you may have a relaxing holiday in a typical rural and Catalan atmosphere while having facilities like swimming pool, lavish furnishings and beautiful, spacious bedrooms.


Can de Quima offers a mixture of the comfortable and authentic: You can, for instance,  be in the pool and enjoy the warmth and at the same time have the view over the vineyards. Especially the pool is a facility that everyone in the travelgroup can benefit greatly from: While the children play you can cool off in the water when the sun is at its peak and the heat rises. In the pool area there are sun loungers, for getting the maximum out of the southern summer. Just behind the pool is aterrace with a round dining table where all meals can be enjoyed. Especially at dinner time when evening hours are cooler and comfortable.


The authencity by a stay in this holiday home is that you live peacefully close to the owners'vineyards. During the season (August and September) you may help the owners with the annua lvintage and get a glimpse of the life of a Catalan wine grower. Similarly, as guests in Can de Quima, you have the opportunity to purchase the owners'wine, normally sold at 3-star Michelin restaurants in Barcelona.


From the patio there is a door leading into the beautiful common room of the holiday home,where the entire holiday group can be together at the same time. Here's a nice sofa area, and behind the kitchen, two steps up, there is a oblong dining table. The kitchen has plenty of tools andfacilities such as oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. In the kitchen a part of the rock is protruding as a nice detail in the house. In addition, the entire room-like allother rooms in the house- has a beautiful wooden ceiling with crossbeams.


If you walk up the stairs in the common room, you meet the beautiful and spacious bedrooms. There are four double bedrooms, three of them have double beds and one has twin beds. All the bedrooms are associated with their own bathroom (en suite).


Can de Quima is close to the very pleasant town 'Falset', where there are several small delicatessen shops, which are often worth a visit.You also find restaurants, supermarket and cafes.

Enkelt og rustikt hus midt i en vinmark! Skøn udsigt og rolige omgivelser. Når man lige finde ud af, at den snoede grusvej kun ligger 7 min kørsel fra Falset, er man “tæt på men alligevel in the middle of nowhere”. Herligt. Og kun ca. 35 min kørsel fra Tarragona, som er en rigtig skøn og flot gammel by med masser af romersk historie.
God pool og udmærket hus.
Man kan høre lastbilerne fra vejen ovenfor dalen, så helt stille er der ikke.
Obs på at der er vaskemaskine, men at den kun vasker med koldt vand.
Vi fik ingen rundtur af ejeren, men hans vin er tilgængelig i huset. Rigtig god rødvin! 18 euros pr flaske, så ikke en billig en af slagsen.

Das Haus ist wunderschön, geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Besonders komfortabel ist, dass jedes Zimmer ein eigenes Bad hat. Der Pool ist prima, ebenso die Terrasse mit einem super Ausblick auf die tolle Landschaft. Wir hatten einen perfekten Aufenthalt.

The house is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. Especially comfortable is that each room has its own bathroom. The pool is great, as is the terrace with a great view of the great landscape. We had a perfect stay.

Excellent stay in Priorat!

Tæt på men afsides … og meget langt væk fra stress og jag. Beliggende midt i et fantastisk vinområde. Kun ca. 3 km og i gåafstand fra Falset, men ca. 10 minutter i bil, da man først skal ud på hovedvejen, via den snoede grusvej imellem vinmarkerne. Grusvejen skal tages i meget langsomt tempo for ikke at skrabe bunden af bilen visse steder. Falset har masser af muligheder for indkøb (supermarked og div. små specialbutikker), smageoplevelser (vin og andre lokale specialiteter), nogle historiske interessepunkter og ret mange restauranter. Dertil er der kun 10 km (ca. 30 minutter i bil) til de de nærmeste småbyer i Priorat, med mange virkelig gode vinhuse og smagninger.

Huset har alt hvad der skal til, inkl. egen Nespressomaskine, moderne køkkenfaciliteter (inkl. gasblus og stegeplade), fire soveværelser med separate badeværelser - omend der næsten ikke kommer vand ud af den ene bruser. Der er wi-fi, men forvent ikke at teenagerne kan streame eller leve ferien on-line. De må en tur i poolen istedet for! Der er mulighed for nogle dejlige gåture i terrænet omkring ejendommen - prøv det en morgen inden det bliver for varmt.

Der er grill på terrassen, med udsigt til pool og vinmarkerne, og med friske krydderurter lige ved siden af. Dertil giver ejeren, Albert, gerne ud af de dejlige, økologiske grøntsager fra familiens egen køkkenhave; tomater, peberfrugter, auberginer, salat, løg og bønner. Der er olie og balsamico i køkkenet. Med lidt salt og peber er det til at grille disse dejlige grøntsager mens man nyder et glas af Alberts egen rødvin, som man kan købe i huset. Den er iøvrigt rigtig, rigtig god. Albert tilbyder også to vinture mod betaling; én på vingården og én på vineriet. Vi prøvede den første, som var lille, men byder på en fed historisk detalje om ejendommen, som ikke skal afsløres her. Albert tilbød os ifm. turen at smage den helt nye (første årgang) af hans hvidvin - den var meget, meget lækker.

Huset er genopført i 2012 over en gammel arkæologisk udgravet ruin, og indeholder rigtig megen genbrug af oprindelige materialer, inkl. dele af en hvælving (angiveligt med sten fra romertiden). Det er ligeledes bygget på en klippeside, så der er inkluderet store stenelementer både inden- og udendørs (ret flot). Dette giver en lille smule fugt i nogle af væggene, men mest af kosmetisk karakter. Huset er ikke vild luksus, men er autentisk i landlig stil, med de rette moderne elementer ... og har bestemt ikke noget at skamme sig over.

Jeg kan varmt anbefale huset.
