Cal de Banyoles is a great and modern holiday home for 5 (+1) guests situated just 2 Km. from the lovely village center in Banyoles. The house dates more than 700 years back and has been awarded with 5 keys/stars (maximum) by the Catalan government. It is situated on a little street with a few houses at the edge of the village. There are only 400 meters to the nearest restaurant and there are busses going directly to Barcelona from the village, hence you do not have to worry about parking and driving in Barcelona.
The house itself has been restored in a modern – almost Nordic - way with open spaces, large windows and raw materials. It has an open common area with a great lounge area with beautiful high celling’s and stunning materials. The lounge area has satellite television, DVD with “home cinema”, a fireplace (for the coldest winter days), air-condition and there is WI-FI in the house. The kitchen is situated in connection with the lounge area and have all modern facilities.
Cal de Banyoles has two floors. On the ground floor is, beside the lounge and kitchen area, a charming double bedroom (all beds are luxury 100% Latex) with en suite bathroom. The top floor has been restored as an open environment. It has a framed single room and one double room. The beds in the room can be set as either one double room or two single beds depending on your needs. On the top floor is also a bathroom.
The private garden is small and cozy and is perfect for a family looking for a private outdoor space and great facilities. It has a small swimming pool with great sun beds, a small playground and a covered terrace area with a connected BBQ area. A perfect place to enjoy the long warm summer evenings or to search for a bit of shade on those warm summer days.
The village Banyoles has a huge beautiful lake, where the local social life is being enjoyed. You can swim in the lake and rent either boats or bikes to discover the lake in different ways. There are restaurants as well as a walking path along the lake. The village has a weekly market (Wednesdays between 7-14.30) where you can buy the best local products. It has a lot of great authentic restaurants as well as many cafés and shops. Cal de Banyoles is situated in the heart of the beautiful region Girona, which allows you to explore many beautiful sights in the region on half days excursions. There are 35 km. to the beaches in Costa Brava.
