Casa Tenella is a fantastic holiday home, with a location that takes full advantage of the hilly landscape surrounding it, creating beautiful views from the house.
The holiday home has wonderful, green outdoor areas. One of our favourite features is the large terrace with an outdoor kitchen and barbeque. The terrace has a spectacular view, and it is a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal and a drink on the warm Catalan nights. Another outdoor area where you most likely will spend all of your time, is the wonderfull pool area. The area is closed by a gate for the protection of small kids, and is located below the house. For the active members of the group, you can find a basketball net on the front of the house.
It is not just the outside areas of the house that are worth mentioning, but also the inside. Casa Tenella has been fully renovated in 2008 by an architect. It now has a modern style, but has still managed to keep the historic, inviting feel of the building. As it is situated on a small hill, most rooms have an excellent view. The house has three floors in total.
On the lower floor, the old stables (many years ago the animals were kept on the lower floor of the house) have been transformed into an entrance area which also features a fantastic game room with table tennis and some storage rooms. The perfect place for the kids to hang out and have fun.
On the first floor, the walls have been removed and a extensive cooking/dining and living room area has emerged, taking advantage of the light entering from the panorama windows, providing you with the full view over the landscape with the Pyrenees in the distance. There is a large dining table and an open kitchen with all modern commodities. Close to the stairs, there are two double rooms which share one bathroom.
On the second floor you will find the remaining four double rooms which share two bathrooms. There is also a small Chinese-style sitting area with four "squares" to sit on and a low table. To maximise the flexibility, there are 6 portable extra beds available along with two cots and two highchairs which can be put up on request.
