Casa Puix Miguel is a nice, large building rented as separate apartments. The building lies perfectly with many activities in the local area (read more about that below).
"Olive 3" is a nice apartment with typical Catalan features: It has beautiful stony walls and beamed ceiling. The living room and kitchen are combined into a common room, which also has TV, sofa and chairs. There is a beautiful bedroom with a large double bed. In addition, there is a large, modern bathroom with shower. The apartment has a private terrace, so you can enjoy the warm Catalan sunshine.
There are two extra beds (against a supplement).
Common areas:
The house has a very large garden with a huge swimming pool, which is secured with a fence and with deck chairs so you can relax, only to be interrupted by a refreshing swim. In the rest of the garden, there are several patio areas and orange and lemon trees provide both shade and a touch of the Mediterranean atmosphere. In the village within walking distance, there are a few restaurants and a shop with a little of everything. Every day at 12:00, a bread van comes to the square, so you can buy fresh bread for lunch. There are larger supermarkets in La Bisbal, which is renowned for its pottery. This town is just 5 km from the house.
The surroundings:
The house lies perfect for all of the highlights of Costa Brava. The beginning of the nature park "Massis de les Cadiretes" is right next to the house. Here, there are many beautiful walks, or you can take a ride on the mountain bike or racing bike (rent this in Girona).
If you want a walk on the beach, there are plenty of options. We can recommend the "white towns" Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugell or Tamariu, where there are also some beautiful paths for walking, and – of course - beautiful beaches. If you want a little less people, you simply choose one of the small beaches along the coast road, which is less accessible "calas".
If you like a good lunch, the area is known as "the Catalan Tuscany" where nearly every hilltop in the area has a medieval village with one or several good restaurants, many with outdoor dining in the garden. Here, we can among others mention Peratellada, Palau-Sator with its ring wall around the center, or the town of Pubol where you can visit the Dalí Castle. The area is also known as the "Dali Triangle", and it is well worth to visit his house in Cadaquez (remember swimsuits) and the Museum in Figueres – this can be combined with the weekly market day. We recommend booking tickets in advance as the queues are long in the summer.
A thing every guest must do is a visit to Girona, Catalonia's second largest city, which is very cozy and lively. Start in the market hall in the morning and then go over to the ancient city center on the other side of the river.
For longer excursions, Barcelona is of a great choice, or you can take a ride up to the Pyrenees, perhaps with a stop in Besalú and Olot, and up to Camprodón.
