Family Paradise with enormous garden and perfect location
Just 7 km from the historical Girona lies a holiday paradise named Masia Antiñas. The first impression with the 10,000 m2 large garden will amaze you. The football field, the massive pool, the ponies etc., will leave you with a feeling, that the holiday home has got everything you could wish for and even more. The unique design of the house, which perfectly combines the traditional Catalan and the modern style, matches the high quality of outdoor area.
The opportunities for outdoor activities are very wide. Whether you want a nice playground with swings, a slide and more, for the kids, or perhaps a more relaxing barbecue area with built-in BBQ-grill and benches, which also has a view of the whole garden, so you easily can keep an eye on the children playing – nonetheless, will the holiday home fulfill your wishes. Besides all this, there are balls, a wide variety of toys, table tennis, a sandbox, and more, assuring you, that the children, regardless of time, will not run out of things to do. There is also a massive, fenced pool area with sun loungers, a lawn and a delicious 12x5 meters swimming pool. Around the garden, you will find various benches and tables, so you are always able to sit down in the shade and take a card game.
At a small distance from the house is a chicken coop, where you can freely pick up eggs, thus making the breakfast or likewise a bit more unique and exquisite.
When you enter the house, you will first off notice the very tasteful décor, which gives a feeling of the owner’s effort to make you feel at home. The house is introduced by the large hall, with the equally very tasteful and modern kitchen with a dining room. In the kitchen, you will find two refrigerators, a freezer, an oven, a microwave and a coffee maker. You can also choose whether to eat indoors at the dining table, or step outside onto the terrace, which is in connection with the kitchen.
In the huge living room, you will find a nice, relaxed environment, including four sofas, WiFi Internet and a flat screen. The décor is yet again very modern and luxurious, creating the perfect holiday atmosphere.
There is moreover a toilet on the ground floor, so that it will not be necessary to walk up the stairs.
Moving upstairs on the first floor, you will once again find a hallway that separates the five huge double rooms. Two of the rooms have their own en-suite bathroom, while the remaining three rooms share one huge, nice bathroom, with two separate, closed toilets, two sinks and a bathtub.
Moving on up to the second floor, you will find yourself in a cosy room for the kids, which they with certainty will love. The room has a great view, a bathroom (but no toilet), and single beds. The owners are very flexible, and can easily move one or more beds from the second floor down to the first floor, if wanted.
The holiday home’s location is also a very attractive feature. Despite its scenic location, there is only 500 meters to the nearest supermarket and a restaurant. Beside that, you will find the beach in one direction ant the Pyrenees in the other. Furthermore, is the hugely well-preserved and unique town, Besalu, also near. The town, which is known for its almost pristine, historic bridge is one of Catalonia's cultural gems. If you feel like going to a bigger city, the lovely Girona 7 km away is a possibility, and if you’re looking for something even bigger, there’s one hour by car to the capital ofCatalonia,Barcelona.

If you wish to absorb the lively local life in one of the smaller villages in the Girona region, go swimming on the stunning beaches of the Costa Brava. Go hiking in the Pyrenees or see some of the most interesting museums in Catalonia. If you want everything in a week and within your reach, we highly recommend the Girona region - one of the most beautiful regions in all of northern Catalonia.
The city of Gerona, near the French border. It is a beautiful city where you get a real feeling for its history just by walking through its ancient streets. Its a walled city which dates back to the Roman period, the old quarter is located within the city walls. The city of Girona has a rich, detailed, and dramatic history. The first inhabitants of the area were the Iberians. Then came the Romans who built a fortification there, which was named Gerunda. After having been occupied by a number of cultures, Girona finally fell under control by the Holy Roman Empire. In the 12 th century, the Jewish community flourished in Girona , and a major Kabbalistic school was built. However, the Catholic kings drove the Jews away from Spain in 1492. Later on, in the 17 th to 18 th century, Girona fell under siege by the French, and it was conquered by Napoleon in 1809. The walls of the city were destroyed in the 19 th century. Today, the city is a rich heritage site full of historic and cultural beauty.
The most striking characteristic about of the province is undoubtedly its great diversity. From a tourist point of view it can offer a magnificent coastal area -the internationally recognised Costa Brava- as well as a fine mountain region, which is ideal for both tourism and the practice of a wide variety of sports. This balance between coastal and inland scenery, along with a mild climate, helps attract tourists to the province throughout the year.
The coastline north of Barcelona, the Costa Brava, is one of the busiest coastlines in northern Spain. White sand beaches, lifeguards on duty, and one restaurant after another makes it a perfect spot for an easy day on the beach. To the north the town of Roses, provides rental of windsurfers, diving equipment etc. However should you prefer something a little quieter, we highly recommend the small village of Cadaques a to the north. This beautiful village build on the rocks around a small bay, is virtually untouched by modern day mass-tourism. And although the are no sandy beaches the water is clearer and perfect for a small snorkelling-trip. Cadaques is also the birth town of Salvador Dali, and was a reuge for painters and jazz-musicians. The small and central square is a beautiful little place for a lunch. The town also has some small very good and cosy seafood restaurants.
Figueres - Dalí
The hometown of one of the worlds most influential surreal artists Salvador Dali- Figueres, is also home of the official Dali museum. This spectacular is a must-see for all visitors in the area. Designed by Dali himself, the museum is a piece of art in itself, on the outside as well as the inside.
