Large holiday home in Catalonia with huge garden, swimming pool and many activities
Casa de Pobrís is a holiday home that is perfectly suited for families on vacation together. There is a huge garden filled with everything from a football field to a sandbox so the youngest can entertain themselves for hours. Similarly, the pool can entertain both young people and adults, as it is hard not to take a cooling dip during the warm summer days. Inside, the house is decorated in an antique, cozy style and there is plenty of room for many guests. Likewise, the holiday house is very well equipped with numerous facilities, making the holiday very convenient.
The house lies 800 meters down a dirt road that begins at the end of a residential street. Here, theholiday home lies privately and there is no disturbing neighbors. There is a parking area with shade here. The garden has a size of 11,000 m2 - this is fully fenced so you can let the children play freely on the property. The pool, which is self-cleaning, is also large and has a size of 55 m2, and the pool area is wonderful: Since the house lies on top of a hill, there is a great view over hilly countryside that you can enjoy from the many sun loungers. There is also a small cover, which you can find shade under when the sun is high in the sky.
The house has a huge terrace. At one end, there is a large barbecue and a sink, where you can cook dinner. This area is covered and there are several seating areas and a nice, round table. Likewise, there are two large dining tables, so the whole holiday group can enjoy meals and the warm evenings here. There is also an extra fridge here, which is a great convenience.
The garden has as mentioned before manyfacilities and activities. For the little ones, there is a small cable car, a play area with a slide, swing set and sandbox. Additionally, there are football, petanque, trampoline, basketball basket and ping-pong table. At the edge of the garden, there is a paddock with friendly goats that can be fed and petted. The house is located in a very beautiful area, and there are several large trees on the property, which you can seek shade under. There are also nine fig trees, and if you stay in the house from August to September, you can taste the figs.
There are a total of two double rooms, three triple rooms and a quadruple room. In addition, there is sleeping accommodation for six additional guests (against supplement). There are five bathrooms in the house. The holiday house has two well-equipped kitchens - they both have a washing machine, dishwasher and dryer. There are also several lounges, which is great if you are on holiday together in a larger holiday group – then you can retreat and relax in peace. In these rooms, there is comfortable seating and TV. On the ground floor, there is a large common area where there is a dining table for everyone in the group.
The house is well located with a small town 3-4 km away, where you can use two tennis courts as a service to the guests of the house. From here, there are two trains to Barcelona. Otherwise, it takes 1 hour to get to the city by car. On the beaches of the Costa Brava is 20-25 minutes and a quarter of Girona.

If you wish to absorb the lively local life in one of the smaller villages in the Girona region, go swimming on the stunning beaches of the Costa Brava. Go hiking in the Pyrenees or see some of the most interesting museums in Catalonia. If you want everything in a week and within your reach, we highly recommend the Girona region - one of the most beautiful regions in all of northern Catalonia.
The city of Gerona, near the French border. It is a beautiful city where you get a real feeling for its history just by walking through its ancient streets. Its a walled city which dates back to the Roman period, the old quarter is located within the city walls. The city of Girona has a rich, detailed, and dramatic history. The first inhabitants of the area were the Iberians. Then came the Romans who built a fortification there, which was named Gerunda. After having been occupied by a number of cultures, Girona finally fell under control by the Holy Roman Empire. In the 12 th century, the Jewish community flourished in Girona , and a major Kabbalistic school was built. However, the Catholic kings drove the Jews away from Spain in 1492. Later on, in the 17 th to 18 th century, Girona fell under siege by the French, and it was conquered by Napoleon in 1809. The walls of the city were destroyed in the 19 th century. Today, the city is a rich heritage site full of historic and cultural beauty.
The most striking characteristic about of the province is undoubtedly its great diversity. From a tourist point of view it can offer a magnificent coastal area -the internationally recognised Costa Brava- as well as a fine mountain region, which is ideal for both tourism and the practice of a wide variety of sports. This balance between coastal and inland scenery, along with a mild climate, helps attract tourists to the province throughout the year.
The coastline north of Barcelona, the Costa Brava, is one of the busiest coastlines in northern Spain. White sand beaches, lifeguards on duty, and one restaurant after another makes it a perfect spot for an easy day on the beach. To the north the town of Roses, provides rental of windsurfers, diving equipment etc. However should you prefer something a little quieter, we highly recommend the small village of Cadaques a to the north. This beautiful village build on the rocks around a small bay, is virtually untouched by modern day mass-tourism. And although the are no sandy beaches the water is clearer and perfect for a small snorkelling-trip. Cadaques is also the birth town of Salvador Dali, and was a reuge for painters and jazz-musicians. The small and central square is a beautiful little place for a lunch. The town also has some small very good and cosy seafood restaurants.

The hometown of one of the worlds most influential surreal artists Salvador Dali- Figueres, is also home of the official Dali museum. This spectacular is a must-see for all visitors in the area.
