Apartment BCN-Duplex is an apartment in two floors and with private court-yard, situated in the Raval neighborhood. The area has in the later years undergone a transition, where the cheap apartments and shops provide an excellent base for creative people to unfold ideas and projects, and provide space for a lot of interesting cafés and shops, as well as facilities as the Cinematek, museums and some faculties of the university.
On the first floor, are two very nice bedrooms, each with French balcony with view to the garden. One is with double bed and the other with two single beds, which can be set up as double bed if desired. Each bedroom has its own aircondition, so you can select the temperature you want in each room. There is also a fully equipped bathroom with bathtub/shower.
On the ground floor, there is a toilet without bath and a big common room with dining table for 6 persons, a sofa corner with TV and DVD or, if preferable, you can just enjoy the view very green courtyard. The kitchen is very well-equipped with fridge and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle and dishwasher. Divided by a sliding door, there is an extra room with a double sofa-bed, making it possible to stay up to 6 persons in the apartment. This floor has also aircondition, and the apartment has WIFI-internet.
From this room and from the common room, there is view and access to the courtyard through two big sliding doors of glass. The Courtyard is almost 100m2 and has a terrace area, which is most of the time shady, and an area with sunloungers, where you can enjoy the sun most parts of the day. It is fascinating how you can stay so central in Barcelona, and still have the feeling of being all by yourself!
In the immediate surroundings of the apartment, you find supermarket, bakery and many other shops. If you like to sit outside enjoying life on a café, you have Rambla del Raval only 2 minutes walk away, where there are many cafés with outdoor service.
In relation to public transport, the metro Sant Antoni is 2 minutes walk in one direction and Liceu (on the Ramblas with trains to central station/Estació Sants) is about 6-7 minutes walk away. From Placa de Catalunya, 10-12 minutes walk away, there are airport buses leaving every 5-10 minutes.
