Situated on top of a hill with a wonderful view of the valley beneath lies a charming holiday home called Paleu del Roca.
The house is ideal for a group/family holiday looking for a quiet get-away in the fantastic catalan landscape. Like with a lot of our holiday homes, the lovely swimming pool is usually the center of attention. Here, the kids can play around, the parents can relax or have a swim, and so on. Furthermore, the large garden also has an abundance of places where you can grab a drink & perhaps a book and chill out.
On top of this, there's also a BBQ outside as well as ping pong room. Especially the BBQ is nice to have during the summer, as it allows for cooking and dining outside while enjoying the late-night catalan sun.
On the ground floor, with easy access to the outdoor terrace, you will find the well-equipped kitchen, a dining room as well as 2 double bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom.
Going up to the first floor, you'll have the spacious living room with multiple sitting arrangements. Here, you'll also find the remaining 3 bedrooms and the other bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are double rooms with two single beds. The third bedroom is a duplex bedroom with one single beds below, and then a loft with three single beds which you enter from inside the bedroom. This room is ideal for kids.
The house is situated in beatiful Catalan countryside, with the Pyrenees in the background. You will have 3 villages where you can shop within 15-20 minutes by car, and if you want to visit bigger supermarkets, you can drive to Berga (25 minutes) and Vic (35 minutes).
The kind owner Laura has an organic farm with animals and orchard with organic veggies, located at 1km from the cottage. They organise farm visits and workshops specially for kids with discounts for their guests.
There are many outdoor activities in the area, for instance kayaking and hiking and you can find more inspiration in our activity document.
For longer excursions (half- or full days), you can for instance visit Barcelona, the beach in Sitges, the Penedés wine district or the beautiful city of Girona.
