Casa Salvet – Rest, relaxation, and fun activities in top-class conditions for large groups!

Casa Salvet is a top-notch, beautiful, spacious and activity-rich Catalan holiday property of the highest quality. Able to accommodate up to 30 people, the property consists of a wonderful, renovated house that retains its classic charm, while also being filled to the brim with facilities and luxuries of a modern-day vacation home. Along with the house itself, it has a massive garden with a large swimming pool, a trampoline, table tennis and a football field – not to mention a sublime, smaller building called the Porxo, outfitted with barbecue equipment, a state-of-the-art living room/kitchen area with a terrace overlooking the football field; and, below the kitchen, there is a delightful indoor swimming pool – also with a clear view of the football field outside, as well as the surrounding areas. Next of the indoor swimming pool area, there is a lounge with a flatscreen TV.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a house that suits your needs as a big group of family members or friends better than Casa Salvet. Welcome!

The Main House

The main, larger of the two houses contains all the bedrooms of the property. The house’s interior sports an architectural style wonderfully contrasting to the exterior’s appearance - cozy and charming on the outside; modern, sleek and elegant on the inside. Sporting an indsutrai-esque design, with smooth, polished wooden floors, modern stone and brick walls, and light panel-illuminated stairwells along with exquisite, high-quality bathrooms – all of them are ensuite.

The house has three floors.

On the ground floor, you will find three bedrooms in total; Two bedrooms each containing 2 single beds, and one bedroom containing 1 single bed and 1 double bed.

On the first floor, you will find four more bedrooms; One triple room containing 1 single bed and 1 double bed - two double rooms with double beds and 1 twin room with 2 single beds.

On the second floor, you will find the last three bedrooms; One room contains 2 single beds and 1 double bed, another contains 1 single bed and 1 double bed. Finally, there is a large bedroom which has 7 single beds.

In addition, 2 more beds can be installed after your wishes to make the total capacity 32 beds. All bedrooms have their own respective ensuite bathrooms.

The Porxo

The Porxo is the property’s other building – filled to the brim with luxurious lounging spaces, entertainment and relaxation! It is divided into three floors: the ground floor, the first floor, and the basement.

Entering from the ground level, you’ll find a table football setup and one bathroom. Also on the ground floor, you will find a sizeable dinner table, a barbecue setup (with a walled grill), a wall-mounted flatscreen TV and a small pool table.

From the ground floor, you can head either to the first floor or basement.

Coming down the stairs from the ground floor into the basement will reveal a lounge area with multiple chairs and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV. Just behind the lounge is the indoor swimming pool – the two areas separated by a glass wall. The pool is heated and is 6 meters long and 3 meters wide. Aside from the glass separating the longue and the swimming pool area, there are also large, floor-to-ceiling windows in the room out towards the property’s garden, allowing you to look out over the football field and the wonderful surroundings nearby and beyond from the comfort of the relaxing waters of the pool.

The first floor is slightly elevated above the ground floor. Upon entering, you will find a large, spacious and cozy room, merging a deluxe-quality kitchen on your left with 2 fridges, ovens, a stove and all other accessories, utensils and utilities fit for a modern-day, exquisite kitchen. On your right is a very large dinner table, able to fit many people. With a set of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden below, you will have an excellent view while you dine with friends and family, play cards/board games or enjoy late night conversations over a bottle of delectable Catalan wine. In addition, if you wish to take in the view in the open air, there is also a wonderful sizeable terrace, coming with small coffee tables and chairs. Last but not least, the room also has a large, comfortable sofa corner with a TV and a fireplace. If you want to rest your legs, or enjoy a good movie with your traveling companions, this is the perfect spot to do so.

The Garden

The property’s garden is a large and atmospheric space to relax, run around in, partake in various activities and cool yourself down in the calming waters of the outdoor swimming pool.

The garden has a trampoline, perfect for the kids to bounce around on. Parents can observe the children playing through the windows in the Porxo’s indoor pool and dining/living room and terrace. Right next to the trampoline, there is an area for playing football, coming with two goals. Furthermore, the garden has a volleyball net set up and there is a table tennis table you can use as well.

If you wish to dine outside, there are several tables and stools/chairs you can take outside into the open. Enjoy your meals as the sun sets and the clouds glow warm hues of orange.

Finally, there is the fenced, luxurious pool – coming with several sun loungers and overlooking the beautiful vistas of the Catalan countryside, it is situated extremely well for anyone looking for a quick dip, fun in the water or simply just an excellent spot to take in the view. The pool – being 13 meters long and 4.5 meters wide – is also large enough to accommodate many people at a time, without feeling overcrowded.

All in all, the garden is able to meet many different wishes, desires and activities and only adds to the splendour of Casa Salvet.

As can be seen from the pictures, a minor side-road passes the house. You will experience very little traffic that will not bother you. On the contrary, the advantage is that it is easy to go shopping and on excursions, as you have direct access to an paved road, and do not have to drive on gravel first.

The surrounding areas

Based in Casa Salvet, you will have the local Michelin star restaurant only 3 km. away. There are also several other nice restaurants in the area, more "Catalan country style".

Locally, you can shop in Prats 10 minutes away and in Gironella 15 minutes away. For bigger supermarkets, Berga is 20 minutes away, it is the regional capitol, which also have a nice antique town centre. In the other direction, we recommend a visit to Vic, especially Tuesday or Saturday morning where the market is on in the antique town centre.
