Numerous times, Lisbeth and I have followed some curly roads for some kilometers to get from the highway into the valley and out in the countryside. Then a gravel road passing the owners farm, and finally a kilometer more, a cosy limestone house shows up, privately situated and with beautiful views.
La Casa Escardivel offered us this experience one more time, giving us the possibility to offer you a peaceful spot for your relaxing holiday. The nice pool area and the game room and volleyball makes it tempting just to stay in the house, but it is also nice to find a local restaurant in one of the local villages (remember that it is best to eat out for lunch, as most restaurants close in the evening) or a day-trip to Barcelona, the Penedés-wine district or perhaps a dip in the Mediterranean Sea, all within 1-1½ hours from La Casa Escardivel.
The layout of the property is very nice, as you have the covered terrace with barbecue, fridge, water and a cupboard with tableware to the right of the house and still situated, so you can keep an eye on the swimming pool. The pool area itself is fenced, and there is a covered part, so you can relax in the shade or in the sun, depending on your preferences.
On the first floor, there is a dining table, sofa corner with TV, all in authentic style, with a modern kitchen added with hotplates, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher etc.
From the common area, you have access to the four double bedrooms. A twin room (2 single beds) and a double room (1 double bed) with view to the pool area, and then another twin room and another double room facing the fields behind the house. The bedrooms share two bathrooms, one with bathtub and the other with shower.
So if you are a group of up to 8 people, La Casa Escardivel is the perfect place for an authentic and relaxed holiday, in private surroundings and with many excursions possible.
