Las Masias de Mateo - venue for celebrations and events

Las Masias de Mateo can be booked for smaller weddings and company events. We have made this page, where we have added the general information, so you can evaluate, if it could be the right place for your wedding or event.

Capacity and Supplement for wedding:

Capacity:

The capacity for a wedding is normally the capacity of the house. So if you would like to invite more people than can stay in the house, I need to check if it is possible. The reason is the dimension of the power supply, which you can read more about below. 

Supplement to host a celebration or event:

Besides the rental of the house, there is a supplement, if you need the house for a wedding or celebration (covering use of hall, extra cleaning etc.)
The 2025-price is 950 Euros/1 day of celebration (for other years, please consult us)

Important note about electricity:

The house is sustainable and powered by its own solar panels, so the electric system has a limit on what it can handle. For this reason, we cannot receive events with more guests than the ones staying in the house. If you plan to hire catering with own equipment, DJ, extra lights, and other things that can affect this, this is not always possible, as the power system might not be able to handle it. 

Important note about arrival: 

Las Masias de Mateo is situated on the top of a small mountain. This is many aspects fantastic, as you can enjoy the wonderful view and no neighbours to distrurb. Just NOTE that when arriving to the house, the last 3,4 km. is a gravel road with some curves. This means that you cannot arrive all the way to the house by a large vehicle, such as a bus. You can arrive in normal cars (although SUV is a bit easier) and 8-seater Vans.

If you consider having your guests arriving in a big bus, we have a couple of times organized bus transport to a pickup location 5 km. away, and then taxis the last part. If you go for the bus solution we recommend at least having 1-2 cars for convenience (shopping) and security (in case of illness etc.)

Catering:

Claudia is our local chef, who has catered for both weddings and company events several times in the house. We have only good feedback.

Other caterings: You are welcome to contract any cater you want. For the catering company, there is a refundable damage deposit of 1.500 Euros, and they need to agree with Judith about what equipment they would like to bring, due to the power supply.

 Other convenient information:

WIFI:

It is a normal Wi-Fi, as the location does not permit high-speed fiber solutions etc.

MOBILE COVERAGE:

There is 4G mobile coverage at the property.

HALL:

There is a 130m2 hall for meetings, where there is also a toilet attached.

MICHELIN RESTAURANT (and other restaurants): 

In addition, there is a local Michelin-star restaurant 15 minutes away, if you want something more formal. We know the owners well. There are also other restaurants in the area, you can ask us.

ACTIVITIES:

We will be happy to help with organizing activities, as we have a good network in the area.
