1.25 kilometers up high in the mountainous, idyllic and picturesque Catalonian region of Berguedà, lies Mas del Pintór; a beautiful, traditional farmhouse from the mid-to late 19th century – carefully renovated with a modern touch and all necessary facilities - smackdab in the middle of some of the most scenic landscapes and nature Catalonia has to offer! The house is an ideal place to stay with groups of friends or family, being able to accommodate up to 15 people, equipped with 5 bedrooms and their own, ensuite bathrooms, TVs, a fireplace and kitchen for all basic needs and more…and, on the outside, the property sports a swimming pool, porch (equipped with BBQ essentials and more), as well as an excellent solarium.
Not far from the property, within walking distance, you will find a great restaurant only 100m away (please check for opening hours), a charming little church and multiple walking trails. Taking these walking trails will lead you to many wonderful sites located further away, such as Mirador Figuerassa and Serra de Queralt – quickly accessible by car. Berga, the regional capital, is also close by.

Mas del Pintór is a large farmhouse, renovated to fit and fulfill modern needs and requirements…and more! The house itself is spacious, possessing 2 large floors; the ground floor and first floor, and has central heating.
On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a smart TV, a fireplace (wood included), a large table for up to 14 people, a sofa bed, multiple arm chairs and 4 single beds – adjoined to a kitchen equipped with cutlery and complete kitchen utensils, soap and scouring pads, two fridges, freezer, a washing machine, microwave, an electric stove/oven, a Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, blender, juicer, dishwasher, as well as an electric glass-ceramic cooker and 3 burners. In addition, the ground floor also has its own private bathroom with a shower.
On the first floor, there is accommodation capacity for up to 11 people – and excellent, panoramic views. All rooms possess their own, ensuite bathrooms equipped with showers and towels. The floor has 2 double bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with a sleeping sofa fit for 2 people, and 1 double bedroom with an extra bed for one person.
In total, 5 separate couples can be accommodated in the house’s rooms – with space for children to spare.
The house also possesses a wonderful porch/patio area, complete with its own large table (up to 14 people), its own fridge/freezer and a BBQ for grilling. Perfect for dinner as the sun sets on the serene, mountain landscape unfolding before your eyes, evenings of board games, and long talks with friends or family into the late hours of the night over a good bottle of Catalan wine.
Finally, the property has a solarium; excellent for sunbathing and resting in relaxing conditions.
Mas del Pintór is nested in the gorgeous Berguedà region, situated between steep slopes, abundant nature and wildlife, with other settlements still never too far away. Walking trails right by the house will take you on journeys to amazing spots such as Roc d’Auro and Cim d’Estela, where – all the while you ascend and make your way to the top – you’ll have a wonderful view of the region. These breathtaking sights are only enhanced by a trek to Cogulló d'Estela, one of the tallest mountains and highest peaks in all of Catalonia; half the region sees its peak. Its rounded top allows for an excellent stop for a picnic, to take pictures, or simply revel in the peerless sights granted by the towering height of the mountain pinnacle. And, if you’ve always dreamt of taking in unbelievable sights of gorgeous lakes in wonderful green, mountainous landscapes from a balcony, look no further than Mirador de la Figuerassa. And, also not far from the house, Serra de Queralt offers wonderful views as well. By car, these destinations are only 5 to 30 minutes away.
Berga – the capital of the Berguedà region – is only 15 minutes away by car. In it you’ll find numerous restaurants, a couple of grocery stores, a municipal theater, pharmacy stores, gas stations, a hospital, parks, and an abbey. In addition to this, the town holds a weekly market where the town comes to life and provides a fun time for you and your friends/family. From Berga you can find buses connecting you to Barcelona.
