Holiday apartment for 4 guests in beautiful surroundings

In an absolutely perfect location just 15 km. from the second largest town in Catalonia, Spain -Girona and 15 km. to the beaches on the Costa Brava coast you find the beautiful holiday home Casa Piferán. The house is a big house, made up of 3 independent units, where Casa Piferan-Horno is one of them. With 90 spacious and stylish squaremeters, Casa Piferan-Horno is the perfect holiday home for a group of 4 people!

Casa Piferan has been fully restored, providing you with modern comfort, whilst still conserving the original architecture and authentic charm, such as the beautiful limestones and wooden beams. The apartment has room for 4+1 guests and is divided into two floors. The ground floor has a fully-equipped kitchen and an open dining/living room with a cozy fireplace. Next to the living space, you will find the lovely outdoor terrace facing east and a covered porch, where you can cool down during the warm afternoons. From the porches, you can step directly into the large, green garden which surrounds the entire house.

There is a large twin bedroom on the first floor of Casa Piferan-Horno. The second bedroom is on the upper loft, and has two twin beds, with the possibility of having another bed set up. There is also a bathroom on the first floor.

The location of Casa Piferan is superb! The house is surrounded by trees and fields of crops, and has an exceptional views of the Montseny, the plain of La Selva and a good proportion of the Catalan Pyrenees and their foothills. The village Cassà de la Selva is only 3 km. away form the home. And 15 km. away you will find te stunning city Girona (also known as Barcelona's little sister), which is definitely worth a visit! Last but not least, the Costa Brava beaches is only 25 km. away. So you have plenty of opportunities to take small excursions during the days and evenings. 

To sum up, Casa Piferan-Horno is the perfect holiday home in Catalonia, if you wish to be close to the beach, but still live in an authentic environment, with beauty and peace in comfortable distance from the mass tourism in Spain.

Casa (Can) Piferan - Horno is a beautiful farmhouse with rustic charm and simple elegant decor. Set in a beautiful region of Spain, we enjoyed exploring the coastline and the city of Girona. The grounds around the house are stunning, and entirely surrounded by fields and a few other distant farmhouses. We enjoyed amazing sunsets over the distant mountains each evening we were there. The swimming pool is ideal, large enough to share with the other families, and still swim, and bathed in shade by late afternoon.
The accomodation is simple and tasteful, we wanted for nothing, it even had a kettle to make a cup of tea :-)
The second bedroom is in fact a mezanine over the master, accessed by steep ladder-stairs - ideal for our children (9,12) but something to be aware of if booking with younger children. The air conditioning unit kept us cool to sleep at night, and the thick stone walls and shutters kept us cool enough by day, despite the very high temperatures we experienced that week.
We had a very restful and happy week, thank you.

Casa (Can) Piferan - Horno est une belle ferme au charme rustique et à la décoration simple et élégante. Situés dans une belle région d’Espagne, nous avons aimé explorer le littoral et la ville de Gérone. Le terrain autour de la maison est magnifique et entièrement entouré de champs et de quelques autres fermes éloignées. Nous avons profité de magnifiques couchers de soleil sur les montagnes lointaines chaque soir de notre séjour. La piscine est idéale, suffisamment grande pour partager avec les autres familles, tout en continuant à nager, et baignée d'ombre en fin d'après-midi.
Le logement est simple et de bon goût, nous n'avons manqué de rien, il y avait même une bouilloire pour se faire une tasse de thé :-)
La deuxième chambre est en fait une mezzanine au-dessus de la chambre principale, accessible par un escalier raide - idéal pour nos enfants (9,12) mais à prendre en compte si vous réservez avec des enfants plus jeunes. L'unité de climatisation nous a permis de dormir au frais la nuit, et les épais murs et volets en pierre nous ont gardés suffisamment au frais le jour, malgré les températures très élevées que nous avons connues cette semaine-là.
Nous avons passé une semaine très reposante et heureuse, merci.
