Masia de Batell is one of our most charming and unique houses. Situated in the middle of a volcanic nature park, isolated from noise and neighbors the beautiful medieval village of Santa Pau is still only at five minutes away by car.
The holiday home, which originally is from the 10th century, provides 5 master suite bedrooms and a small bedroom with 2 bunk beds. The suites have their own private bathroom and they all have a private terrace or balcony and one even has its own patio. Beds are king size with white cotton linen. There are multiple common rooms around the house, including a chill-out room with a fire place, library, a lovely dining room, a huge kitchen and even a bar if you fancy a couple of drinks and a bit of music. The house comes with all the necessary amenities for a complete vacation.
Outside you will find a porch, the large, wonderful garden, swimming pool, barbeque, a gorgeous tree with shade, and much more. The pool, like the rest of the house, is well designed in a very modern taste and it is perfect for children as it is beach-inspired. A few minutes walk from the house, there even is a river with a gorgeous natural waterfall where you can take a dip!
As the holiday home is situated in the La Garrotxa national park, you will find many daily activities ranging from Segway tours to unforgettable balloon rides, from horse carriage tours to excursions inside dried out volcanoes. Day trips can take you to Girona, Figueres, Banyoles, many small medieval towns and the closest beach is just above 1 hour away. La Garrotxa is an area known for its authentic Catalan rural essence with scenery and gastronomy being among its strongest qualities.
You can enjoy the house self-catered if you would like, but the owners of Masia de Batell can also offer a variety of options to make your vacation even more special: all kind of meals, paella, barbecue, home chef, private caterings, arrangement of different activities, daily cleaning, and nearly anything you can think of.
