Upon arrival at the Masia Tapirs large courtyard, with views over an incredibly beautiful, open landscape, you sense immediately that the house is very unique. Here is a 10.000m2 beautiful garden, a private olive grove, a 1000m2 beautifully decorated house, four terraces and a fantastic pool area with a divine view. By the swimming pool are also toilets and changing rooms. Masia Tapir serves an an incredible base for a large holiday group, on an unforgettable holiday in Catalonia!
Masia Tapire consists of three separate apartments: “Exida” with 5 bedrooms, “Truit” and “Mirador” both with three bedrooms. Each apartment has its own dining-room, kitchen and living-room. There are high ceilings in Masia Tapir - making you feel that you are in an old castle or mansion. The big beautiful dining rooms and living rooms, all furnished with respect for the traditional architecture. Masia Tapir has no less than 12 rooms and can accommodate 25 guests +6. There are 12 bathrooms, nine of which are ensuite. The rooms are decorated in beautiful traditional Catalan style and the bathrooms are large.
From the terrace with barbecue area, you enter the hall. If you go straight on, you will enter the “Truit” unit. It is very spacious and with high ceiling. It has a big open kitchen with all commodities, (dishwasher, microwave, oven, hot plates, washing machine). Furthermore a dining area with dining table, a sofa corner with TV and a toilet. There is access to another terrace area with garden hammock and a beautiful view.
On the other side, in the same level, you find the bedrooms. There is a double room with double bed and bathroom ensuite and two huge bedrooms with two double beds in each, and also with bathrooms ensuite.
By climbing the stairs to the first floor, you enter the “Mirador” unit. This apartment has a huge terrace with a wonderful view over the landscape. It is the obvious place to gather, when you are a big group. Also the common room inside is huge and with high ceiling. There is a dining table, a sofa corner with TV and access to the separate kitchen with another dining area and dishwasher, oven, hot plates, microwave etc. There is access to 3 bedrooms, one double room, one twin room and one single room. There is one bathroom with shower.
From the other side of the house, also on first floor , you enter the unit “Exida”. The first room is a big common room with a double dining table, a toilet. There is a dining area and another fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hot plates, microwave etc. As decoration, the old oven build in the wall to make bread has been preserved.
From the common room, there is access to a double room with bathroom with bathtub ensuite. On the other side of the common room, you can enter another double room with bathroom ensuite with shower. There is a very big bedroom with a double bed and two single beds and own bathroom with shower. There is a fourth double room with bathroom. Finally, there is a very spectacular room. There is a very high ceiling. In the level you enter, there is a double bed and a bathroom, and then inside the room, there is a stairway up to a loft with two single beds.
The house is has this authentic historical atmosphere, high ceilings and a lot of space. It is really a fantastic house in settings which only adds to the impression.
Downstairs, there is an activity room with table tennis, billiards and table football and a depot room with 3 washing machines and 3 cots and a high chair, which can be set up if necessary.
The pool area is situated in fantastic green surroundings below the house. It is almost situated in an olive field. It is well-equipped with plenty of sun loungers and a covered terrace. Also the orange and mandarin trees add to the sensation of being alone in the Catalan nature. For the children, the garden has a small football lane with football goals. The house has three large terraces with seating and loungers. There are several barbecue areas.
The owners own more than 100.000 m2 of the forest and fields surrounding the house, and there is plenty of opportunity to make small walks either in the forest or making your way down to the Banyoles lake.
