Masia Montbello is the perfect choice if you want to stay in a house of very high standard, privately situated and still only a short drive of 10 minutes from the beach.

Enjoy the house as a relaxing base with a big garden with private swimming pool, several terrace areas, and 3 suites, 2 double rooms and an apartment with two bedrooms.

Situation:

It is amazing how privately the house is situated, taking into consideration that you will be a short drive away from the beaches of Costa Daurada and Cambrils with restaurants and shops. And a bit further, you will have the beautiful towns of Tarragona and Reus.

Outdoor areas:

Masía Montbello is located on a 165.000m2 terrain with thousands of olive and fruit trees. The owners produce their own excellent olive oil. From the 2000m2 ornamental garden with a huge pool you have unique views of the mountains that rise in the background. And from the house you even can see the sea in the distance. Its peacefulness, tranquility, space and positive energy is unique and makes it a priceless accommodation.

The swimming pool is 78m2 (6x13m) and 1.80m at the deepest. From June till September the pool will be heated. There are comfortable sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas in the garden, which also offers many small intimate seating areas. When traveling in a large group, it is excellent to have the ability to enjoy a little and quiet moment once in a while.

Indoor areas:

The owners have used in lots of time and effort to create a house with a unique atmosphere and environment. The entire home is equipped with underfloor heating and air conditioning. In the 500m2 large house there are seven very bright and luxurious rooms, and the house can accommodate 21 guests (14 permanent sleeps and 6/7 extra beds on request)

On the ground floor is a large and beautiful kitchen that is equipped with all modern facilities: two ovens (one of which is a steam oven), 2 dishwashers, two fridges and much more. Adjacent to the kitchen and accessible from the kitchen is the enclosed courtyard with a barbecue, lounge area and dining table, that can be covered by large awnings. Should you choose to dine inside, then the house's dining room easily suits your group.

Layout of the bedrooms:

As the house in the off-season also works as a hotel/BB, all rooms are hotel standard. Three of them are suites with private sitting area, and one space is a two-bedroom family-apartment for four people, which has its own kitchen. The family-apartment has a large bathroom with a bath and two washbasins.

All double rooms offer views of either the Mediterranean Sea in the distance, the mountains with the sunset or the olive groves. They are all equipped with air condition, satellite TV, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, Nespresso coffee machine and a private bathroom. The furnishing in each room is a fine blend of vintage and modern, creating an extremely tasteful environment.

Bedroom 1 (First floor):

A beautiful superior room, meaning that it is one of the most beautiful and largest rooms of the house. The room is South-facing and has beautiful views over the garden until the sea. The room is airy and light and has a small balcony.

The private en suite bathroom comes with a bath, double sink, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and free toiletries. The room has a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m and a sofa bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m. Because of its size of 23m2 and bed configuration (double bed and double sofa bed), it is suitable for up to 4 people.

Bedroom 2 (First floor):

This beautiful bedroom is the twin sister of room 1. It is a superior room, meaning that it is one of the most beautiful and largest rooms of the house.  The room is South-facing and has beautiful views over the garden until the sea. The room is airy and light and has a small balcony.

The private en suite bathroom comes with a bath, double sink, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and free toiletries. The room has a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m and a sofa bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m. Because of its size of 23m2 and bed configuration (double bed and double sofa bed), it is suitable for up to 4 people.

Bedroom 3 (First floor):

This spacious and very beautiful superior room sits on the west side of the house. It has stunning mountain views. In summer, this room is, together with room 4, our coolest room. The room is airy and light and very cozy.

The private en suite bathroom comes with a bath, sink, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and free toiletries. This room has a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m and a sofa bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m.  Because of its size of 20m2 and bed configuration (double bed and double sofa bed), it is suitable for up to 4 people.

Bedroom 4 (First floor):

A spacious double room with two single beds of 0.90 x 2.00 and a sofa bed, on the Northside of the house, with view the olive groves. The private en suite bathroom comes with a walk-in shower, sink, toilet, hairdryer magnifying mirror, and free toiletries.  The sofa bed of 1.20 x 1.90 makes the room suitable for 3 adults.

Bedroom 5 (First floor):

This romantic and cozy double room of 19m2 on the second floor on the East side of the house has views of the olive groves. The en suite private bathroom comes with a bathtub, sink, toilet, hairdryer magnifying mirror, and free toiletries. It has a large double bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m. 

Bedroom 6 and 7 / Apartment (Second floor)

You find Bedroom 6 and Bedroom 7 in a bright two-room apartment of 53m2 on the second floor of the house. It has stunning views of the mountains and the sunset and is West oriented. The apartment has a seating area, a satellite TV, a fully-equipped kitchen with a 4-ring electric stove, microwave and fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine and kettle, and a dining table with 4
chairs.

Bedroom 6 is a double room with a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00m

Bedroom 7 is a twin room with 2 single beds of 0.80 x 2.00m and a second TV. On request, the owner adds an extra bed in this second bedroom.

They share a bathroom, which is equipped with a bath, toilet, two sinks, a toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, and free toiletries. Accessible via the stairs.

Common areas and activities:

In the large living room, you will find a piano, seating areas as well as a large flat screen smart TV. The living room is very tastefully decorated, as is the whole house.

In Masía Montbello there is also a small gym, a library with a wide selection of coffee table books, free Wi-Fi in all rooms and common areas, washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. Separate from the house there is a playroom with a table tennis table, board games, a football table and toys for the kids. Next to the playroom is a safe trampoline, embedded in the ground.
In the garden is a soccer field of 300m2 is awaiting parents and children to play their soccer matches.

Sustainable house:

Masía Montbello is a very sustainable accommodation. It uses 60 percent less energy than comparable accommodation. Seventy percent of its energy is provided by solar panels. A geothermal installation heats the house and the pool as well as the drinking water. The local energy company has given Masía Montbello an A+++ rating. In 2018 Masía Montbello was rewarded most sustainable hotel in Spain!  

Additional services and information:

The kind English-speaking owner Lisette and her husband will be available to for any question or if you need help to organize an activity or a visit during your stay. They also offer breakfast and dinner service on request. Cleaning hours can also be provided.

The house is part of a working olive farm, and the huge ornamental garden, the chicken, 2 ducks and the cats, as well as the large number of plants in pots, require daily attention. This means that during your stay you will encounter the gardener, the pool boy or girl and the maintenance worker.

On request (against supplement) they provide hotel services such as daily cleaning, change of towels and sheets and breakfast buffet and diners. 

Things to do:

The area offers a wealth of activities such as Port Aventura (one of Europes biggest theme parks), water sports, cycling and much more. There are good opportunities to play golf in the area as within a radius of 30 kilometers you will find 7 golf courses!

The house is only 15 minutes away from the city of Reus with its beautiful Gaudi Museum, 20 minutes away from Roman city Tarragona, 115 km from Barcelona airport, close to the famous wine region Priorat and its beautiful mountains, close to the beaches of the Costa Dorada only 10 minutes away.
