Catalonia has some absolutely stunning beaches. And as all holiday homes are located within at a max one and a half hour drive, we highly recommend that you take a day trip to the beach if you have the time.
Some of the beaches can of course be quite touristy, and we therefore suggest that you take advantage of the fact, that you are staying at a local Catalan's house: Ask the home owner! Most of the home owners have their own favourite beaches: secret little gems with nowhere near as much tourism as some of the larger well-known beaches on the Costa Brava and Costa Daurada coasts.
There are also some great hikes along the coasts of Catalonia. We love to hike, and have spent a lot of time doing this in Catalonia.
