Casa Cisco is a charming Catalan farmhouse located in a cozy little village, with a few services - right between the districts of Osona and Ripollès in the Vall de Bisaura region, at an altitude of 860 meters, and close to the slopes of the 1.25km-tall Mt. Bellmunt.
The stone-brick house – built in the 17th century - has been renovated to accommodate travelers, fully restored and reconditioned, preserving its enchanting nature of the past, combined with the comforts of the present. It is the perfect place to enjoy the serene landscape, captivating mountains and slow-paced Catalan country life – in Casa Cisco, you are close to both, offering you the best of both worlds! Wake up to the fresh air of the mountain breeze and relax at home with the smiling sun – or venture out on one of the many walking trails in the area!
10 minutes away by car, you’ll find the town Sant Quirze de Besora, located on the Ter River. The regional capital – Vic – is only 30 minutes away by car.
You’ll find Casa Cisco is the perfect spot to spend your days – and to have as a cozy home-away-from-home when you return from a day of wandering in the Catalan landscape. Welcome!
The house consists of two floors – the ground floor and the first floor – and has accommodation for 7 to 9 people. It has central heating and WiFi.
On the ground floor you will find the entrance hall, kitchen, dining-living room and a bathroom.
The kitchen comes equipped with a hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine and kitchen utensils. The living room has a TV, a sofa chair and sofa table, and a wood-burning stove. The ground floor also has a washing machine. You will find one bathroom on the ground floor as well.
On the first floor, you will find 3 bedrooms – 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each, and 1 bedroom with 2 double beds. You will also find 3 bathrooms and a sitting room where you can gather with friends and family for good conversation, board or card games or dinner. The house also comes with sheets, blankets and bath/shower towels (swimming pool towels not included), as well as 2 cots for children under 3 years of age.
Casa Cisco has a large garden, a porch, barbeque, a terrace solarium and a swimming pool – only shared by one other vacation home!
The village which the house is located has a café and restaurant and a church. From the village are many walking trails and interesting roads you can to explore the local environment and landmarks. The ruins of Castle Besora, for example, are only 10 minutes away on foot. A little further away, at 3.1km – 6 minutes by car and 40 minutes by walking – lies the gorgeous waterfall Salt del Mir, a tall 40m waterfall, where water gently flows down in serene surroundings. Further away are other wonderful sites, like the Montesquiu Castle.
In the charming, old-school town of Sant Quirze de Besora, located on the Ter river, you will find bars, resturants, grocery stores, a library, clothing stores, a pharmacy, a butchers’ shop, and a train station, served by the R3 line with access to both Vic and Barcelona.
11 minutes by car, from the village Casa Cisco is located in, you will find another small village, Vidra, where there is a bakery for all your breakfast needs. Alternatively, in Sant Quirze there is a café where you can also buy bread and pastries.
Further away from the local towns, you will find more of the beautiful walking trails, charming villages – and, about 30 minutes away by car, you will find Vic, the regional capital. Filled with shops, resturants, museums, churches and cafes, the town offers a good time to all who visit. Enjoy the wonders of Vic’s weekly market with friends or family, as the town blossoms into song, dance and festivity! The R3 train that goes through Vic goes on to reach Barcelona, the heart of Catalonia, so you can stop by the town for a few hours, then head on down to the Mediterranean!
