Stay in a wonderfully furnished house with large swimming pool
Masia Padrét is a unique holiday house – both inside and outside. The region is very warm and the sun shines a lot, and therefore you would want to spend much of the time in the large swimming pool or on the nice roof terrace. However, this holiday home is furnished and designed indescribably beautiful. You can really see how creative and tasteful the owners of the holiday home are. An example of this is the dining table, which they made from antique wine barrels. These were stretched by a carpenter into this unique tabletop.
In addition, this holiday home is very well located with small, authentic villages nearby and with a little over one hour’s drive to Barcelona or Tarragona.
The house has three floors. The terrace area is situated on the same level as the first floor (see the photos). There is a cozy seating area and you have a wonderful view over the beautiful surrounding countryside. Next to the terrace, there is a small courtyard with a large barbecue and firewood. From here, there is also an entrance to the dining room of the house, so it is easy and convenient to cook the meals outside.
From the courtyard, there is a few steps up to the swimming pool. With a size of 45 m2, it is a great place to enjoy the Catalan summer. There are also built-in stairs into the pool, so everyone in the family can join in, and there are seating facilities at the pool, so you can take turns enjoying the sun and cool off in the water. The pool area is fenced for security reasons.
The kitchen is on the first floor with a small balcony. It is very well equipped, so if you prefer, it is easy to prepare meals at home. Additionally, it is very modernly designed - but you can still see the rustic, authentic look with the beamed ceilings and wooden table, which is made of an old ramp that was used to transport grain. Only separated by some glass doors, there is a very beautiful dining room with the before mentioned dining table. Here, there is also a sitting area with TV and fireplace and comfortable sofas.
It is also possible to buy delicious local food products from the region.
The house can accommodate 10 guests. There are five very nicely decorated double rooms. In addition, there is space for two additional guests against a small fee. The owners have put a lot of effort into making the rooms comfortable and beautiful, and several of them have good views over the countryside. There are both rooms with double beds and rooms with twin beds. One of the double rooms has its own en suite bathroom – the others share three spacious and beautiful bathrooms.
On the ground floor, there is a small hall with table football.
There is also Wi-Fi in the holiday house.
The house is located just 5 km from the charming town of Santa Coloma de Queralt. Here, there are shops and plenty of restaurants. Additionally, there is also market every Monday, which certainly can be worth a visit.
