Molina Petita Pobia is a spacious place for a family looking for peace, swimming pool, and spacious surroundings. The big property around the little mill is ideal for playing for instance football or badminton. It is also dog friendly, as the entire property is fenced, so your dog can also enjoy life and you will not have to worry that it escapes on an adventure.
The mill is from 1888 and was made to make flour. If you fancy technique, it is amazing how the old machinery of the mill has been preserved. It is covered by glass, so you can see all details, and Josep-Mari will be happy to show you how it worked in old days. Moreover, it has been done in away, so it contributes to the feeling of being in a holiday home with a lot of history and now of high quality.
This quality you see in the large and beautiful bedrooms, the beautiful dining table in the dining area, the sofa corner with comfortable sofas and TV and the very well-equipped kitchen with all you need.
Outside the house, you will have the garden table, which you can easily move, so you can basically have your meals where you prefer. It could be in the shade under one of the trees, by the swimming pool or next to the barbecue, if you like a nice barbecue dinner. There are also some arm chairs, so you can relax with a book.
In the middle of the garden, you find the fenced pool area, where you can relax at the sun loungers or have dip to cool down in the warm Catalan summer. As the swimming pool has roman steps, it is also ideal if you have small children, so they can enter the water in their own pace and play.
If you want to learn a bit more about how things were made in old days or if you just like a nice walk, there is a marked route which make you pass several examples of how things where done earlier (brick production, wine making).
The remote location is one of big qualities of Molina Petita Pobia, giving you all the peace you need to relax in a busy daily life. And even you will need to drive the last 2 km. in a gravel road, it is not really a problem, as the road is of very high standard and easy to drive with no difficult curves. And when you arrive to the main road, the beautiful town of Solsona with antique town center with cafés, restaurants and shops is about 20 minutes away.
Even Barcelona is actually less than 2 hours drive away, so you can easily go on a day trip to explore this fantastic city. Another nice day could be to combine a visit to a vineyard (perhaps with a tour if you pick one of the bigger) with beach and lunch or dinner in Sitges, which is a fantastic seaside town with a very nice beach. Sitges is 90 minutes from the house.
