Mas Felér Vista is a house with the most beautiful view we have ever seen. At the end of the very big lawn, you have an incredible panoramic view over the valley with the lake of Sau in the bottom and to the right, the village on the top of the hill as the house. All this is surrounded by beautiful and colourful mountain formation, and if you are lucky, you can see soaring eagle.
It is easy to imagine, how the father of the present owner, who was a famous Catalan author and philosopher got his inspiration. Inside the house, the careful restoration has preserved a touch of this, especially the cosy sitting room with beautiful chairs in the ground floor and the very large master bedroom on the first floor, where the desk with garden and valley view is still there.
The house has been fully reformed and has now a layout, where you immediately feel comfortable and at home. From the ground floor, there is an exit to the pool area on one side of the house and the terrace with seating for outside dining and parasols in front of the lawn. For the smallest, there is sandpit.
The lower floor has the common area in two parts. One part for dining with a cosy, very big round dining table, and ensuite the sitting room with different beautiful sitting chairs and a TV. In connection, you will find the cozy little kitchen. Also, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has 3 single beds, and the other is a double room, which has a very nice small conservatory in connection and direct outside access.
In the first floor, to the left, there is a very nice double bedroom, with some very beautiful details and garden view. Also, a small toilet has been installed. Then, there is the biggest bedroom, with a double bed and two balconies with view to the pool area and the mountains. The desk where many books have been formed is still there as a nice reminder of the history of the house. If necessary, here some extra beds (against supplement) will easily fit, if your group is bigger than 11. This bedroom has a bathroom ensuite. Finally, there is the third, spacious double room with bathroom ensuite.
Outside, the pool area is the perfect base in the warm Catalan summer. It is designed to welcome small children, as an angle has been attached with steps and low water for small children. The main part is 8 x 4 meters and perfect for a small swim. The wooden deck with sun loungers is perfect for sunbathing, or you can choose a shady corner if it gets too hot.
We can recommend this house very much for a nice holiday in Catalonia!
Surroundings:
The house has the benefit of having the cosy mountain village with all limestone houses within walking distance. It has four restaurants and a grocery store, so you will not have to drive down to the bigger village 11 km. away every day.
The small mountain road passing the house, will also give you easy opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Rupít, 8 km. away. The drive itself is beautiful, and from Rupít, you can make a very nice walk to the waterfall Sallent, which is a 7 km. loop, suitable for also inexperienced walkers. You can bring your lunch, or eat in one of the restaurants in Rupit, when you come back.
Another nice excursion is the drive down to Vic. It takes approximately 45 minutes, and we recommend Tuesdays or Saturdays mornings, where Catalonia’s biggest market takes place in the antique town centre. Or you could get up early, and make a day-excursion to Barcelona.
