Mas de Gil is the loveliest oasis located surrounded by nature and yet only 45 minutes from Barcelona. 

The carefully renovated “masia”, which with its pastel colors gives memories of the South of France, is surrounded by a large garden with a lovely shaded terrace area with large table; furthermore, there is the coziest morning terrace with sofa corners right in front of the entrance door to the house. The garden has plenty of fruit trees, which provide many shady spots, and a beautiful round swimming pool with steps and a bench, including; you can sit in the water and enjoy the view. 

Rustic charm – with a modern touch

Mas de Gil is essentially a perfect mix of the modern and the charming, rustic Catalonia – each is exemplified in the house's architecture and interior design. The house itself is built in classic Catalan style – beautiful, sand-colored stones give the house's exterior a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the rustic, reddish-brown floor stones only enhance this impression. The furniture is made of quality fibre, and fits in harmoniously with the rest of the overall style of the house. At the same time, the house is equipped with all the facilities that are expected of a modern holiday home.

The house consists of two floors – ground floor and first floor – and has capacity for 12 people. There are 6 rooms – all på first floor. If you enter through the main door on the ground floor, you will find a entre with plenty of space. If you go further in, you will find the dining room and the kitchens – a classic kitchen, with a beautiful finish, as well as a modern kitchen – right next to each other. There are 2 refrigerators, four gas burners with hoods in the modern kitchen, and an oven in the classic kitchen . Here you will also find the dishwasher. Both kitchens have a sink. And next to the classic kitchen, there is a nice dining table where there is room – and chairs for – 12 people. There is good lighting in the room – both from the main door, but also from another door which also leads out to the garden.

On the left you will find a small hallway with a WC at the front. If you continue straight ahead from the ground floor, you enter the living room; here there is a large, lovely sofa, with coffee table and fireplace, a daybed with pillows, and a TV . The lighting is, likewise the dining room, fantastic with several windows from which the sun can peek in. Continuing to the left from the living room, you enter a beautiful, well-maintained office/mini-library, with an old-fashioned desk, and a large, beautiful and charming bookcase – it's almost like traveling back in time when you enter the room!

When you leave the living room, you can go up the stairs that separate the living room and the dining room. This is how you get up to first floor. Up here you will find a long hallway where the 6 bedrooms are – 3 bedrooms with double bed, 2 with single bed and 1 room with double bed (adapted for older adults and children) – as well as a bathroom with a bathtub. There is also another bathroom with shower.

Catalonia at its best

The house's garden is perfect, both for adults and children. You are surrounded by the idyllic Catalan landscape, far from the noise of the city and støj – but still only 45 minutes by car away from Barcelona! From the terrace of the house you can sit and enjoy the view, nothing more than one step away from the door to the ground floor if the heat increases. There is an additional dining/chill-out area in the middle of the garden, with canopy and a nice table and chairs. The garden is adorned with beautiful trees and bushes, and from the beautiful swimming pool you can look out over your little slice of paradise. The pool also has built-in bench, for when e.g. need to rest your legs after playing with the children, or if you just want to relax in the gently lapping water in the lovely Catalan sun.

The house and garden are far away from other residents, such as; the small can freely frolic and have fun without having to consider the neighbours. Listen too to music out in the garden while you eat dinner and watch the sun go down. down over the beautiful horizon.

Perfect Location

The location is also ideal, both in terms of shopping opportunities, if you want to go out and experience a bit. In relation to shopping, there is an agro shop with delicious organic products within walking distance down the road, and the nearest village with shopping opportunities.

It is only 15 minutes to the town of La Garriga, which in itself is worth a visit. It is known for its many modernist houses, as the city was a favorite holiday destination for Barcelona citizens around the 19th century. In addition, there is a train station, så should you prefer to take the train to Barcelona, that is an option.

For those who like shopping, it is only 15 minutes to La Roca Outlet Village, which is the largest in Catalonia. And if you want to swim in the Mediterranean, så it is 25 minutes to the beach in Mataró, or you can take the bathøj with you when you visit Barcelona. The town has a fantastic beach!
