Classical and charming - with a modern edge

The rustic and charming house is advantageously placed on a small rise in the property’s garden. It has 8 rooms; 5 of which are double bedrooms, and 3 of them being quadruple bedrooms (each of the 3 having a 150cm sofa bed). 6 of the 8 rooms have ensuite bathrooms and the remaining 2 rooms share a bathroom.

The house is divided into 3 floors; the ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor. It is air-conditioned, and has both a washing machine and a tumble dryer, a clothing iron and black out curtains.

Entering from house’s main entrance at the back of the building, on the ground floor you will enter a big hall. Only a few steps away you will find a billiard table and table football – perfect for game nights with friends or family! Down to the right is another hall, coming with several medium-sized tables and benches, as well as two medium-sized sofas and a wide coffee table. In addition, you can directly access the garden from here, and is a great place to retreat indoors when you want a break from the warm sun.

Heading upstairs from the entrance hall, you will find the house’s living room – coming with 2 large tables, each having 10 chairs respectively, perfectly suited for breakfast, lunch and dinner alike. Also in the living room, you will find a corner with a wall-mounted flatscreen TV and a medium-sized sofa, a coffee table, and a fireplace. From this area of the house, you have a great view of the surrounding areas on and close by Cubis.

Also on the first floor is the kitchen, coming with all utilities expected of a modern-day holiday home (utensils, pots/pans, fridge, dishwasher, oven) – as well as a freezer, toaster, coffee machine, microwave, electric kettle, and rice cooker. The house’s terrace is accessible directly from the kitchen, easily allowing you to take your food outside to eat dinner at sunset, overlooking the setting sun, the garden, and the beautiful countryside further out (and if you’re hankering for a BBQ night, all the necessary equipment for grilling can be found on the other side of the house, under another covered terrace). You will also find 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on the first floor.

On the second floor, you will find the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms. The rooms are all spacious – with one room having a bathroom directly connected to the bedroom and an open-air bathtub! Behind this room’s bed, there is also a sofa corner to relax and watch TV in! 

Bountiful fun and relaxation

Cal Cubis has a wonderful, 10.000m2 garden – filled with greenery of all kinds, and with plenty of space to various activities! Play tag or hide and seek with the kids in the vast green space – or relax by the wonderful pool, coming with loungers and surrounded by exotic flowers and palm trees! The garden has dedicated outdoor dining areas (covered terraces with tables and chairs), a fireplace, and great views from the terraces! Enjoy outdoor meals and relaxation alone or with friends and family – few things compare to laying in the loungers after a dip in the pool as the sun sets, warming your body with the last rays of the sun and drinking an exquisite Catalan wine.

In the heart of history

The farmhouse is located in the municipality of Serinyà but far from the urban center. The house is between the sea (35 km) and the mountains (60 km), and very close to Banyoles (5 km) where we recommend visiting "l'Estany", a natural setting of incomparable beauty. 5 minutes away you will also find the beautiful medieval town of Besalú, and 10 minutes away, the well-known town of Castellfollit de la Roca. For nature lovers, you cannot miss a visit to Sadernes (20 minutes away), a natural space where you can take routes among crystal clear water gorges. In order to enjoy a wide gastronomic, cultural and historical offer and a rich social life, it is essential to visit the medieval city of Girona (25 minutes away). It is surrounded by nature and trails for walking or hiking, such as the Vía Verde del Fluvià.
