Mas Baron de Abilla is an ideal house if you appreciate high quality of living inside and undisturbed panoramic view from the large private garden without neighbors. It is almost surprising that the distance from this peaceful spot is less than 2 km. from the centre of the lively village of Cardona, with the most beautiful antique town centre and a very nice square with restaurants and bars.

Pilar and her husband have taken care of every detail to offer visitors an authentic atmosphere, boldly combining rustic and modern elements, and at the same time creating a quiet and cozy atmosphere in which to enjoy the house and its surroundings.

On the ground floor you will find the large open kitchen, the living room and bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances including hob, oven, microwave, 2 dishwashers, washing machine, 2 fridges & freezers, plus blender, toaster, juicer and all household items to prepare meals comfortably.

The large windows in the dining room admit you to admire the views of the Catalan Pyrenees, the sunrise and sunset, while you can enjoy meals and long conversations. Especially in the off-season, this is much appreciated by our guests.  The living room has a fireplace, LCD TV with satellite dish, computer with Internet access via ADSL, PS2 and WIFI zone.

There are four rooms that make up a maximum of 8 adults plus 3 children. Downstairs, you find one bedroom (adapted for disabled) with bathroom with shower en suite. At the first floor are the other three bedrooms. All are spacious and bright and each has its own bathroom with tub. In each room you find satellite LCD TV , hairdryer, bed linens and towels.

Outside is a summer dining room, under the porch.  In the garden is the pool which is covered and heated in winter and in summer with the cover removed. The stone built barbecue enable you to fry some of the local steaks and other meat products - try for instance their “butifarras”, Catalan sausage of very high quality or perhaps some lamb chops.

We must say that you can hardly find a better place to spend you Catalan holiday. If you can drag yourself away from the house, the area is well commuted via the C-55 road to Manresa and from here you can continue by C-55 to visit Montserrrat , take the C-16 motorway to visit Barcelona or C27/C-15 down to the beaches near Sitges.

In the local area, there are many outdoor activities, and Pilar has prepared a very useful booklet with information about the many things to do.

Possibility to play Padel:

In 2022, a padel court has been built only approx. 100 meters from the house by foot, available to book during your stay. It is shared with the owners' other holiday home, and is also rented out to local players from time to time. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to play. Ask about current prices.

Vi var to familier afsted med børn i alderen 6-17 år. Huset er fantastisk med rigelig plads til alle og gode sovepladser.
Ungerne nød haven og poolen, hvor de legede, svømmede og spillede bold.
Terrassen med den fantastisk udsigt over bjergene blev brugt til timer af hygge, grill og gode samtaler.
Vi brugte padelbanen flittigt og løb sjove ture i de bakkede omgivelser, hvor vi bl.a. så kaniner og køer.
Ca. 15 minutters gang fra huset ligger en hyggelig lille by, som man kan gå til, hvis man ønsker morgenbrød, cafebesøg eller mindre indkøb.
Et fantastisk sted for jer, der ønsker hygge, nærvær, padeltennis og skøn natur.

We were two families with children aged 6-17. The house is fantastic with plenty of space for everyone and good sleeping places.
The kids enjoyed the garden and the pool, where they played, swam and played ball.
The terrace with the fantastic view of the mountains was used for hours of coziness, barbecues and good conversations.
We used the padel court extensively and ran fun walks in the hilly surroundings, where we, among other things, saw rabbits and cows.
Approx. 15 minutes' walk from the house is a cozy little town, which you can walk to if you want breakfast, a visit to a cafe or small shopping.
A fantastic place for those of you who want coziness, presence, padel tennis and beautiful nature.

Nous étions deux familles avec des enfants âgés de 6 à 17 ans. La maison est fantastique avec beaucoup d'espace pour tout le monde et de bons endroits pour dormir.
Les enfants ont apprécié le jardin et la piscine, où ils ont joué, nagé et joué au ballon.
La terrasse avec la vue fantastique sur les montagnes a été utilisée pour des heures de convivialité, de barbecues et de bonnes conversations.
Nous avons beaucoup utilisé le terrain de padel et avons fait des promenades amusantes dans les environs vallonnés, où nous avons, entre autres, vu des lapins et des vaches.
Environ. À 15 minutes à pied de la maison se trouve une petite ville accueillante, dans laquelle vous pouvez vous rendre à pied si vous souhaitez prendre le petit-déjeuner, visiter un café ou faire du shopping.
Un endroit fantastique pour ceux d'entre vous qui recherchent le confort, la présence, le padel et la belle nature.

Virkelig lækkert hus med fantastisk udsigt. Hvis du drømmer om panoramaudsigt over bjergene, lækker pool, et hus i lækre materialer hvor detaljerne er gennemtænkt, så er dette huset for dig! Pilar og hendes mand som ejer huset yder fantastisk service - både ift. huset og vejledning ift. området m.m. Dette hus er uden tvivl et besøg værd!
