Casa Miró has been restored and you will now find a very modern house with both outdoor and indoor swimmingpool and in totai eight bedroms (7 double and one triple) and 7 bathrooms. The interior design is beautiful since the owners have a brilliant sense for the details. The garden is large and has plenty of room for playing ball. The outdoor BBQ provides the perfect spot for the long warm summer nights.

The house provides a perfect base for relaxation and a place you will love to return to after a long day discovering Catalonia. The nearest town Gironella is only three km. away. It is a cosy town with a lively shopping street on one side of the Llobregat river and with the antique village centre and the cathedral on the other side, where the weekly market day takes place.In 2008, Josep and Silvia have restored the house, by changing the antique unused stable to a new part with three new double rooms with bathrooms ensuite, a big, open kitchen , a beautiful dining table, high quality lounge furniture and best of all, panorama windows providing you with a beautiful view over the area. The changes has extended the capacity from 11 persons to 17 persons in 7 double rooms (5 with bathrooms ensuite) and a triple room. All changes have been made with respect for the original building, and unite perfectly antique and modern.

The house is very privately situated, as nearest neighbour is 300 metres away. It has a large garden with a big lawn. There is a covered terrace close to the swimmingpool, and a new terrace is being constructed close to the dining room and the kitchen.

The local tennis court 3 km. away can be used for 6€/hour

Trip to Barcelona or rent a holiday apartment before or after

During your stay in Catalonia, it is obvious to make a trip to the metropolis Barcelona. It takes from most houses only 1-1½ hours to drive in to the Catalan capitol know for Gaudi, Miró, The Ramblas, the Gothic neighbourhood, F.C. Barcelona, the beach and many other things. The previous summers, many of our guests have chosen to rent a holiday apartment in Barcelona before our after their stay in the beautiful Catalan countryside.

We had a fantastic holiday at Casa Miró in August. There were 11 adults, 5 kids and 2 babies from 79 to 9 months and we all had a great time. The location was incredible, so peaceful and quiet, yet only a few kilometres from Gironella. We spent most of our time outside by the pool and around the enormous table looking at the view, watching the cows go by on their daily walk. The villa itself was just great, a perfect combination of traditional furniture in the bedrooms but with a modern, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of glasses and crockery. We also really liked the small touches like the embroidered sheets and pillow cases, the vintage table football and the table tennis table was a lovely surprise in the barn. Just about everyone having their own bathroom was a real treat and leaving shampoo and body wash in each of the bathrooms was a nice touch.

As hosts Josep and Silvia were really friendly & helpful. They provided us with details of how to find the villa on the first night when we couldn’t find it, provided a kettle to make tea more easily, put a cable into the TV in the cellar so the children could watch Netflix & Disney for a short while before bed each evening and came in each day to clean the pool.

We loved everything about our stay and the service we received from Catalonia Lettings ahead of our trip gave me great confidence that we would have a good holiday. All went to plan and it was just fabulous. We’d love to go back there again and would definitely recommend Casa Miro.

Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques à Casa Miró en août. Il y avait 11 adultes, 5 enfants et 2 bébés de 79 à 9 mois et nous nous sommes tous bien amusés. L'emplacement était incroyable, si paisible et calme, à seulement quelques kilomètres de Gironella. Nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps dehors au bord de la piscine et autour de l'énorme table à regarder la vue, à regarder les vaches passer leur promenade quotidienne. La villa elle-même était tout simplement géniale, une combinaison parfaite de meubles traditionnels dans les chambres mais avec une cuisine moderne entièrement équipée avec beaucoup de verres et de vaisselle. Nous avons également beaucoup aimé les petites attentions comme les draps et les taies d'oreiller brodés, le baby-foot vintage et la table de ping-pong était une belle surprise dans la grange. Presque tout le monde ayant sa propre salle de bain était un vrai régal et laisser du shampoing et du gel douche dans chacune des salles de bain était une délicate attention.

En tant qu'hôtes, Josep et Silvia étaient vraiment sympathiques et serviables. Ils nous ont fourni des détails sur la façon de trouver la villa la première nuit quand nous ne pouvions pas la trouver, ont fourni une bouilloire pour faire du thé plus facilement, ont mis un câble dans la télévision dans la cave pour que les enfants puissent regarder Netflix et Disney pendant un peu avant de se coucher chaque soir et venait chaque jour nettoyer la piscine.

Nous avons tout aimé de notre séjour et le service que nous avons reçu de Catalonia Lettings avant notre voyage m'a donné une grande confiance que nous passerions de bonnes vacances. Tout s'est déroulé comme prévu et c'était tout simplement fabuleux. Nous serions ravis d'y retourner et recommanderions certainement Casa Miro.

Lovely spacious villa with rooms to match. We were a family of 13 and at no point did we feel that we were on top of each other. Great open kichen with a large dining table where we sat most night to have our dinners. As you can imagine the outdoor pool was the main place where the whole family congregated to play games or just enjoy a splash. It got very hot in the day and the sun umbrellas were great to lay under to beat the heat. Casa Miró is very rural which we loved, 5 mins drive from Gironella which has a few bars/restaurants and supermarkets. Over an hour's drive to Barcelona however we preferred to stay local & discovered fabulous lake in Vilada where you could go canoeing/paddle boarding. Finally a big thank you to Silvia, Josep & Anthony who were wonderful and extremely helpful.
