Can Bosquita means "the house in the little forest", and the name suits the peaceful setting perfectly. The old family property was carefully restored from 2006 onwards, with great respect for the original architecture and historic details of the house. Today, Can Bosquita is a charming and comfortable holiday home, where stone walls, wooden beams and original elements are combined with modern facilities. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, creating pleasant air circulation with an air-conditioning effect on warm summer days.
The property consists of two separate buildings, the main house and El Vistador, both included in the rental. They are set on a private plot of more than 4,000 m² and connected by terraces and outdoor living areas. This layout makes Can Bosquita especially suitable for large families, several generations or groups of friends who wish to spend their holiday together while still enjoying the possibility of privacy.
The main house has six bedrooms and four bathrooms distributed over several levels. Its position on the hillside gives the house a cosy and interesting layout with bright bedrooms, charming sitting areas and easy access to the outdoor spaces. The large kitchen is a natural gathering point, where original details such as the fireplace and stone sink have been preserved and combined with modern equipment and plenty of workspace for cooking together.
El Vistador is the separate building on the property and offers two additional bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area, dining space and kitchen. From here, there is direct access to terraces and barbecue area. The building is ideal for grandparents, adult children or part of the group who would like a little extra privacy while still being close to everyone else.
Below the house, you will find the fenced swimming pool of 8 x 4 metres with Roman steps, making the pool easy and safe to use for both children and adults. Around the pool, there are sun terraces and sun loungers where you can enjoy the views and the Catalan climate. One level further down, there is a large lawn, perfect for football, badminton, volleyball and basketball. Around the house, several terraces are available, both covered and open, so you can always find sunshine, shade or a pleasant place for your meals.
One of the greatest qualities of Can Bosquita is the combination of a private natural setting and easy access to everyday facilities. In about 15 minutes on foot, you reach Les Planes d'Hostoles, where you will find restaurants, cafés, bakery, supermarket and other useful services. It is also possible to arrive in the area by public transport, which is unusual for a holiday home with such a private location.
Can Bosquita is situated close to La Garrotxa, one of Catalonia's most fascinating natural areas, known for its volcanoes, beech forests, green valleys and wonderful walking routes. The popular cycle route between Olot and Girona passes close to the house, and the area is perfect for cycling, hiking and nature experiences. About 20 minutes from the house, you will find Olot, the main town of La Garrotxa, where you can visit the volcanoes Santa Margarida and Croscat, the famous beech forest Fageda d'en Jordà, and a pleasant town centre with shops, restaurants and local markets.
Can Bosquita is an ideal base for excursions in Catalonia. Girona is within easy driving distance and offers one of Spain's most beautiful medieval old towns, with city walls, cathedral, small squares, cafés and restaurants. The beaches of the Costa Brava can be reached in about 35 minutes, where charming coastal villages, sandy beaches and clear Mediterranean water await. Barcelona can also be visited as a day trip, and art lovers can explore the Dalí triangle with the museums in Figueres, Púbol and Portlligat.
