Facilities of the Apartment

The house is 130m2 in total, and is quite spacious, being located on the ground floor on the main house.

In total, there are 2 bedrooms. One of them has a luxurious king-sized double bed (180x220cm), with an adjoined bathroom – coming with a bath, bidet, and shower. The other bedroom is ideal for children – coming with 3 single beds (80x190cm), and a bathroom with a shower. This room is accessible from outside and through the double bedroom.

The large 50m2 living room comes with 2 sofas and a sofa table, a fireplace, satellite Smart-TV and a long dinner table.

Moreover, the great kitchen is well-equipped to accommodate your culinary needs; containing a dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, oven, capsule coffee machine with a built-in filter, fridge / freezer, microwave and ceramic hob.

On the private 45m2 patio, where you can sit, relax, and dine in the wonderful Catalan weather, providing a wonderful ambiance to the late nights outside, looking at the countryside sky, drinking wine from one of the local vineyards, for example.

If you are more than 5 persons - Extra bedroom(s) can be added to your booking!

As described, the apartment Can de Gato has a capacity for 5 persons. But if you are more more than 5, Can de Gato has made the perfect solution, as they have two seperate, extra bedrooms, which can be booked seperately, and gives you the possibility of staying up to 5 additional persons.

Many nice, shared facilities available

When staying in Can de Gato, besides the facilities of your holiday home, you will have access to the many shared facilities that the property offers.

The garden is large, entirely fenced, spacious area of 3100m2, with various trees and plants, and shared between the different houses. In the garden you will find numerous activities/facilities.

One is the shared, communal pool, with a separate round pool for the children. Both pools are in the same area, which is fenced. There are multiple sun loungers to recline and relax in as well. On the other side of the fence, there is a swing for the kids.

There is also the covered terrace, with chairs, a small table, and – further back – a wall-attached stone sofa. In the garden you will also find a table tennis setup and a small football pitch.

Moreover, there is a game room for the children to have fun in – coming with, among other things, a table football setup.

Another communal facility is a washing machine and an ironing board for your clothes.

The garden also has a chicken coop with two chickens and two rabbits.  

The Great Surroundings

Can de Gato is situated in a small village ideally situated right between the beautiful regional capital of Girona, Figueres with the "Museo Teatro Dalí" and the beaches of Costa Brava, for instance in L'Escala, all about 20 minutes drive away. There is no services in the village, but in the next village 3 km. away, you find a bakery, a restaurant and a train station with direct trains to Girona and Barcelona. The nearest supermarket you find 6 km. away in Báscara. 

So the location is perfect for exploring the Costa Brava. You can go to the beaches, eat out, visit the interesting towns with weekly markets and of course the Dali' museum and/or his castle. The area is also nice for hiking and bicycling, both more challenging routes or the Greenway taking you on a child-friendly route from Olot to Girona or Girona to the coast.
