If you like the combination of relaxation an exploring, Casa de Naranjas is the ideal location for you. Situated in a tiny village and with an enormous garden, the holiday home provides all the peace you want, and still, you can drive to the beach in 15 minutes and to Figueres with the Dali museum and big market in 15 minutes, beautiful Girona in 35 minutes and even Perpignan in 50 minutes, if you want a squeeze of French culture in your holiday mix.
The house is very large, offering 9 bedrooms, 7 of them with bathrooms ensuite. There are two additional bathrooms in the house, and also the possibility of arranging a 10th bedroom if necessary. The bed setup is also very flexible, so depending on your needs, triple or four-bed rooms can be arranged. Two of the bedrooms on the first floor also have access to the first floor terrace, which is the perfect place to read a book or have glass of wine in the sunset.
The beautiful ground floor takes you back in history, as the authentic structure has been preserved, which the gorgeous arches making the ceiling in both the dining room, the sitting room and the library with the billiards. With a view to the garden, there is a more modern sitting room with sofas and TV. Finally, there is big modern kitchen, with a lot of kitchen equipment and easy access with open cupboards. It is of course also equipped with oven, ceramic hot plats, two dishwasher, double fridge/freezer and more. There is also a table, which is convenient for breakfast.
The biggest quality of the property, however, is the very extensive and beautiful garden with the swimming pool (fenced to protect small children), the terrace next to the swimming pool and the big lawn with football goals and a play ground in the far end.
The terrace is situated so you can easily keep and eye on the swimming pool and the rest of the garden, and it is also close to the barbecue, which is situated in the courtyard. The courtyard is ideal for your meals, as there is also a big table and then it is directly connected to the kitchen.
We always say that a nice holiday consist of 50% a nice house as base and 50% the activities and excursions you make during your holiday. And for the last part, Casa de Naranjas is perfectly situated. You can within 15-20 minutes get to both small secluded beaches and wide sandy beaches, where you also find cafés and restaurants.
You will benefit from the peace of being away from the mass-tourism, and still close so you can find any activity you like, bicycles, kayaks (both river- and sea), museums, wine visits, padel tennis and much more. We and of course also the kind owners Joan and Amparo, will be pleased to help you getting the most out of your stay.
At the property, it is also easy make the time fly, not at least for the children. Swings, football goals, board games and table tennis, and of course the swimming pool and the Wifi will keep them occupied. In the meantime, you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine, reading a book, in the many cosy corners you find all around, shade or sun as you prefer.
