Casa Rey de las Viñas is the perfect holiday home, if you want to stay in natural surroundings, but still want facilities such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets and even train station with direct trains to Barcelona within walking distance.

Situated just above the village, with one field separating the house from the beginning of the village, you will find a beautiful, authentic Catalan holiday home, with spacious garden, where the big pool area is the natural gathering point.

Away from the village, the gravel roads leads to the mountains and the forest, where there are several marked walking routes and bicycle routes, one of them even passing the house. Before retiring, the owner let out bicycles in Girona, so she can still help renting bicycles for your stay.

In the other direction, you will enter village and follow the sloping road through a small quarter of villas before entering the antique town centre with some shops and restaurants. The village is a charming, Catalan village with almost no tourists. On the other side of this town centre, you will find the train station with direct trains to Barcelona and Girona. Hence, it is actually possible to stay in this house without car. A bit further, there is a big supermarket near the main road between Girona and the beaches of Costa Brava, only 30 minutes away.

The house is entered in the ground floor by a beautiful hall with high ceiling and arches and a very nice atmosphere created by the limestones and many authentic details. This living room on the ground floor can be converted into a cozy family room.  There is also a table tennis. In this floor, there is a sitting room and a double bedroom with bathroom ensuite and two steps up, a second beautiful family room with double bed and two single beds. Two steps up, there is another double room and a nice bathroom to share.

At the first floor, there is a very big common area in more classic Catalan style, where you will really sense the long history of the house. In this big area, there is a sofa-corner with TV and DVD and a long dining table. In connection, there is a fully equipped kitchen (dish washer, stove, hotplates, American fridge etc.) with a small dining area. In the house, there is a WIFI Internet connection.

From the common area, there are access to five additional bedrooms, two of them doubles with double bed, one double with two single beds and one of them triple with 3 single beds. The rooms have a very nice view over the landscape and down towards the village. On this floor, there are two bathrooms to share.

On the second floor, there is an area with is used as zone for children to play, and also a small “library” with some books and table games and also a lot of tourist information. Also on this floor, there is a double room with double bed and a double room with two single beds. These bedrooms share bathrooms with the first-floor bedrooms.

Outside, in front of the house, is the large area with grass with many shadows, created by trees, where you can have coffee in the morning or relax with a good book and a glass of wine. Next to the house there is also a terrace with a large table and a barbecue. There is also a playground and swings for children.

At the end of the garden, with an excellent view over the fields, you find the big pool area (fenced to protect small children). The salt water swimming pool is 10 x 4 meters and in addition, there is a small basin for young children. At the end of the pool, there is a big, covered terrace with outdoor kitchen with running water, fridge and barbecue, so you can have your meals here and cold drinks. There is also a toilet, so you will not have to enter the house.

This house is ideally situated to explore the nature and the city life of the Costa Brava area, from Girona to the beaches. You can also drive a bit inland to enjoy the Banyoles lake, the historical town of Besalú, or a bit further to feel the mountain air of the Pyrenees.

An amazing house in a beautiful setting. The house had plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms for 19 of us and a baby and room for more too!
Spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need and the pool area was brilliant. Plenty of sitting and eating areas so that you can either sit as one big group or relax in smaller groups. This worked well for a large family so that the teenagers could have their own areas if they so wished.
Bertel answered any queries we had before our arrival promptly and the homeowner, Marcel, was absolutely lovely and helpful!

Une maison incroyable dans un cadre magnifique. La maison avait beaucoup d'espace, des chambres et des salles de bains pour 19 d'entre nous et un bébé et de la place pour plus aussi !
D'une propreté impeccable et entièrement équipée avec tout ce dont nous pourrions avoir besoin et la piscine était géniale. De nombreux coins salon et repas vous permettent de vous asseoir en grand groupe ou de vous détendre en petits groupes. Cela a bien fonctionné pour une famille nombreuse afin que les adolescents puissent avoir leurs propres espaces s'ils le souhaitaient.
Bertel a répondu rapidement à toutes les questions que nous avions avant notre arrivée et le propriétaire, Marcel, était absolument adorable et serviable !

Bertel at Catalonia holidays lettings was absolutely fantastic from the moment we booked right through to the holiday. We had a group of 21 to organise and we had many questions which were answered promptly, Bertel offered recommendations for the local area and put us in touch with the relevant local people to book extras we wanted. I cannot recommend booking your trip through this company more, they care about your holiday and want you to have the best time. We stayed in a Beautiful Farm House called Casa Rei Vinyes in Celra! beautiful countryside and close to amenities. We were able to take day trip taking the local train to Barcelona, Girona etc. Very easy. The Host Marcel was also very helpful, friendly and on hand if we needed him. Highly recommend! Hannah

Beautiful house in the lovely countryside of Celra. 15 of us stayed here for a cycling vacation and it could not have been more perfect. Everything was easy, clean, plenty of bedrooms, and room. Celra was a short walk away and had everything we needed - groceries, restaurants, pubs. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of room, and everything was clean. Large, clean pool was a very nice bonus. This was our first trip here, but we will be back and would rent this place again in a heartbeat!

Belle maison dans la belle campagne de Celra. 15 d'entre nous avons séjourné ici pour des vacances à vélo et cela n'aurait pas pu être plus parfait. Tout était facile, propre, plein de chambres et d'espace. Celra était à quelques pas et avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin - épicerie, restaurants, pubs. Beaucoup de chambres, beaucoup d'espace et tout était propre. La grande piscine propre était un très bon bonus. C'était notre premier voyage ici, mais nous reviendrons et louerions à nouveau cet endroit en un clin d'œil!

Vi var 3 generationer afsted på familieferie, og havde et super dejligt ophold. Vi synes især om pool området med udekøkken hvor vi opholdt os når vi var "hjemme", alle måltider blev lavet og indtaget her.

Det var en positiv overraskelse at poolen ikke havde klorvand, men i stedet saltvand, det bør man efter vores mening reklamere med, da det er super dejligt at bade i saltvand.

Når vi ikke var ved huset tog vi på ture til Girona, Barcelona, Besalu, Banyoles der ud over var nogle på Dali museet i Figueres. Så ud over at nyde det ved huset er der masser af muligheder, i øvrigt brugte vi også landsbyen, hvor vi gik ned og spiste nogle gange samt handlede, dejligt at bo på landet men have indkøb og restauranter i gå afstand.

Vi glæder os til at komme tilbage til området.

We were 3 generations away on a family holiday, and had a super nice stay. We especially like the pool area with outdoor kitchen where we stayed when we were "at home", all meals were prepared and eaten here.

It was a positive surprise that the pool did not have chlorine water, but instead salt water, which in our opinion should be advertised as it is super nice to bathe in salt water.

When we weren't at the house, we went on trips to Girona, Barcelona, Besalu, Banyoles, in addition to some to the Dali museum in Figueres. So in addition to enjoying it at the house there are lots of options, by the way we also used the village, where we went down and ate sometimes and shopped, nice to live in the countryside but have shopping and restaurants in walking distance.

We look forward to coming back to the area.

Nous étions 3 générations en vacances en famille et nous avons passé un super séjour. Nous aimons particulièrement l'espace piscine avec cuisine extérieure où nous séjournions lorsque nous étions "à la maison", tous les repas étaient préparés et consommés ici.

Ce fut une bonne surprise que la piscine n'ait pas d'eau chlorée, mais plutôt de l'eau salée, ce qui, à notre avis, devrait être annoncé car il est super agréable de se baigner dans de l'eau salée.

Quand nous n'étions pas à la maison, nous avons fait des voyages à Gérone, Barcelone, Besalu, Banyoles, en plus de certains au musée Dali à Figueres. Donc, en plus d'en profiter à la maison, il y a beaucoup d'options, d'ailleurs nous avons également utilisé le village, où nous sommes allés manger parfois et faire du shopping, agréable de vivre à la campagne mais avoir des magasins et des restaurants à distance de marche .

Nous avons hâte de revenir dans la région.
