Casa Sonarich is a wonderful, fully restored holiday home dating back to 1735. The holiday home can accommodate up to 20(+4) guests, and has everything that a holiday needs including a large swimmingpool, a huge garden and the perfect location within walking distance to a charming lake-town. The green and private surroundings of Casa Sonarich, makes the house the perfect place for relaxation. We can assure you that you will enjoy a Catalan holiday at this gem of a holiday home!

Casa Sonarich is located in a stunning area, and we imagine that you will enjoy the peaceful environment and natural surroundings. The large private garden gives you plenty of opportunities, whether it be reading a book in the shade, or playing a football game with the active members of the group. The swimming pool will probably also be a popular spot during your holiday! It is fenced for the safety of children, so you can easily relax as a family with young children.

The house features a beautiful BBQ area and 3 lovely terraces, so you can enjoy cooking and eating outdoor meals during the warm Catalan summer.

The house has 9 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The house is divided into 3 parts, providing your group with plenty of space for privacy. The two smallest sections are situated on ground floor and have direct access to the garden. One section has 2 double rooms and a common room with a fully equipped kitchen and 1 bathroom. The other section has 3 double rooms and a common room with a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms.

One half of the first floor functions as a large common room with an open kitchen and plenty of space, allowing the entire group to dine together. There is also a cozy sofa corner with a television and a DVD-player. The house also has WI-FI. From this area, an outdoor stairway gives you direct access to the covered terrace with the barbecue area. In the other part of the first floor, you will find 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 of them double rooms and 2 of them triple rooms. There are 4 bathrooms in total on this floor.

Even though Casa Sonarich is located far away from mass-trourism, it is within walking distance to the lively town of Banyoles. Just 800 meters away from the house you will find the gorgeous Banyoles lake. If you continue to walk along the lake, you will reach a cosy little beach, where you can swim in the lake, and a bit further down you will find the floating café. If you walk 4 kilometers in the other direction, you will find the lively town Banyoles. It has a spectacular antique town centre, and the main square is has cozy cafés and is a great place to spend an evening.

If you are interested in taking day trips, you can also visit the The Garrotxa natural Park (roughly 15 kilometers away) or you can visit beautiful Girona (also known as Barcelona's little sister) which is around 20 km. away. There are so many great activities to do in Catalonia, whether it be river rafting, bicycling or visiting wonderful restaurants and winerys. Hi there

Thanks for you message about your philosophy and some new properties.

We have stayed with you twice. This year at Casa Sonarich. It was to celebrate my 80th birthday with 15 of us. That included our 7 grandchildren. We were very happy there, surrounded by the trees and with a carefully maintained swimming pool. The pool was important, not least because we were there in the hottest week in August. We liked tthe spacious house and the way it is divided into separate units suited us well. all our meals were outside at the long table sheltered from the heat of the sun. Although near Banyoles it felt as though we were way out in the countryside.

One or two negative comments. One of the dishwashers wasn't in good order; and the freezer door on one of the fridge/freezers needed to have a chair propped against it to keep it fully closed and down to the right temperature. And the drainage from one or two of the showers was very slow. These issues didn't spoil our stay but we've noticed elsewhere that such things seem to get overlooked by the property managers.

We value your expertise on Catalonia and have been impressed by your ability to find suitable properties for us. I'm sure we will be back, perhaps not in 2024, but soon after.

Nous sommes restés deux fois chez vous. Cette année à la Casa Sonarich. C'était pour fêter mes 80 ans avec 15 d'entre nous. Cela comprenait nos 7 petits-enfants. Nous y étions très heureux, entourés d'arbres et avec une piscine soigneusement entretenue. La piscine était importante, notamment parce que nous y étions pendant la semaine la plus chaude d'août. Nous avons aimé la maison spacieuse et la façon dont elle est divisée en unités séparées nous convenait bien. tous nos repas étaient pris dehors, à la longue table, à l'abri de la chaleur du soleil. Même si près de Banyoles, nous avions l'impression d'être en pleine campagne.

Un ou deux commentaires négatifs. L'un des lave-vaisselle n'était pas en bon état ; et la porte du congélateur de l'un des réfrigérateurs/congélateurs devait être appuyée contre une chaise pour la maintenir complètement fermée et à la bonne température. Et l'écoulement d'une ou deux douches était très lent. Ces problèmes n'ont pas gâché notre séjour, mais nous avons remarqué ailleurs que de telles choses semblent être négligées par les gestionnaires immobiliers.

Nous apprécions votre expertise sur la Catalogne et avons été impressionnés par votre capacité à trouver des propriétés qui nous conviennent. Je suis sûr que nous reviendrons, peut-être pas en 2024, mais peu de temps après.

Espectacular. Masía súper cuidada, todo muy limpio y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días estupendos. Prácticamente un baño por habitación, una pasada, todos los utensilios necesarios, incluso consumibles como lavavajillas, papel higiénico… estuvimos un finde 18 adultos y 9 niños, y nos la guardamos para repetir seguro. Todo el mundo quedó encantado. Las instalaciones y el entorno son perfectos. Un 10 a la casa y a los dueños ❤️

Spectaculaire. Ferme super bien entretenue, tout est très propre et avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour passer de belles journées. Pratiquement une salle de bain par chambre, un pass, tous les ustensiles nécessaires, y compris les consommables comme le lave-vaisselle, le papier toilette... Nous étions 18 adultes et 9 enfants un week-end, et nous avons économisé pour répéter à coup sûr. Tout le monde était ravi. Les installations et l'environnement sont parfaits. La maison et le domaine sont vraiment extras et parfaitement adaptés aux grands groupes. Tous les équipements sont présents (piscine, douche extérieure, ping pong, plaine de jeux, terrain de badminton, barbecue, plancha...). Lluis et Cati sont adorables et vraiment aux petits soins. Lluis a répondu dans l'heure lorsque nous avons eu un souci avec l'aspirateur de la piscine et 3h après il était réparé !! Nous recommandons fortement cette location !

The house and the domain are really extras and perfectly adapted to large groups. All the equipment is present (swimming pool, outdoor shower, table tennis, playground, badminton court, barbecue, plancha...). Lluis and Cati are adorable and really caring. Lluis responded within the hour when we had a problem with the pool vacuum cleaner and 3 hours later it was fixed!! We highly recommend this rental!

The house was lovely and in a great location,The owners were very hospitable & sorted out any issues promptly that arose (which were very minor) whilst we were there. Fantastic venue for party's of 19/20, with the outside BBQ area a great place to dine & mingle . Very close to a lovely village (Banyoles) that we recommend you visit.
