Mas del Lilja gives you the opportunity to live in the outskirts of a cosy village with a butcher, grocery store and bakery with fresh croissants, surrounded by fields on three sides and close by the river passes by, making its way from the Pyrenees down to the Mediterranean Sea.

It is a newly renovated Catalan limestone house, where the respect and inclusion of the original style, has preserved very well the authentic sensation.

As the house is a former “Pairal”, which was where the landowners lived, while the peasants lived in the Masovers, the house is enormously spacious and has very large bedrooms, allowing flexibility in bed setup if necessary.

The architect has done a very good job in integrating the important areas of the holiday home. The very big covered terrace with barbecue faces the swimming pool, and has direct access to the kitchen, making it very easy to cook, swim and relax and still being all together. The children will love the swimming pool, which is 11x 8meters and from 120 cm – 165 cm deep and with a fence to secure it. The pictures of the pool, are from before the pool was expanded. The pool is now more then twice as large, as the pool you see on the pictures.

Inside the house, the kitchen is directly connected to the very big dining room, with a long dining table, so you can also dine together inside if you prefer. To the left, there is a spacious sitting room where you can either relax in the “grandmother” area with 8 rocking chairs, or in the sofa area with the biggest sofa we have ever seen, TV and Fireplace, if you come in the wintertime.

Also in the ground floor, you find the game room with table football, and outside also a table tennis. Finally, there is a bedroom with bathroom adapted for disabled people, all in level. In the entire house, there is WIFI-Internet.

On the two upper floors, you find the remaining 9 bedrooms and 8 additional bathrooms. As mentioned, all bedrooms are extraordinarily spacious, and they all have very nice views. One of them even has access to the first floor terrace. The standard setup is 6 double rooms and 3 triple rooms, but the capacity can be extended (against supplement).

It is no problem to enjoy the warm Catalan evenings outside, but as the house is part of the village, it is important to respect the neighbours, and after 23:00, music is not allowed outside. For the same reason, this house is not suitable for big celebrations. In an attached apartment lives the kind elderly caretaker Teresa. She always respects the privacy of the guests, but will be available if you have questions in any regard.

The house is the perfect base for exploring Costa Brava and the Pyrenees, and with the advantage of having two very interesting towns within 10 km., the regional capitol Girona, and Banyoles with the beautiful lake, where small channels leads the water to the river, directly through the city centre. If you drive a bit further, you can easily get to the beaches ofCosta Brava in one direction in about 35 minutes

In the other direction, Besalú and Castellfolit de la Roca are worth a visit, and if you want to feel the mountain air, drive up to Vall de Núria or Camprodón and Molló, where you find the animal park for “Pyrenees Animals”, a very nice visit, especially with children.

Maison très agréable, très grande piscine, une climatisation très appréciée lors des grandes chaleurs, grande salle à manger, grand salon, emplacement très calme et super échanges sur place avec les personnes qui s'occupaient de la maison.

Fabulous house in a brilliant location, really well suited for a big family group. There are actually 9 bathrooms which isn’t in the details but it’s a definite bonus. The house and the gardens were great and the house is really well equipped with 2 fridges and 2 freezers.
The town is lovely, a very short walk to the shops and cafes. Banyoles really closes and we had a day at the lake which was brilliant. Eva was really helpful and Teresa who lives in the adjoining house was also very helpful. Would highly recommend for a family holiday.

Fabuleuse maison dans un endroit génial, vraiment bien adaptée pour un grand groupe familial. Il y a en fait 9 salles de bain qui ne sont pas dans les détails mais c'est un bonus indéniable. La maison et les jardins étaient super et la maison est vraiment bien équipée avec 2 réfrigérateurs et 2 congélateurs.
La ville est charmante, à quelques pas des magasins et des cafés. Banyoles ferme vraiment et nous avons passé une journée au lac qui était géniale. Eva était vraiment serviable et Teresa qui vit dans la maison voisine était également très serviable. Je le recommande vivement pour des vacances en famille.

Just want to say what a fantastic holiday was had by all 27 members of my family.The house had plenty of room for everyone and lots of space outside.The pool was a great size and the grassy area was great for the babies as they could toddle around with no fear of getting to the fenced pool.I would recommend a car as taxis are not easy to come by.Thankyou for a lovely holiday I’m sure we will be back.

Je veux juste dire quelles vacances fantastiques ont été passées par les 27 membres de ma famille. La maison avait beaucoup de place pour tout le monde et beaucoup d'espace à l'extérieur. La piscine était de grande taille et la pelouse était idéale pour les bébés car ils pouvaient promenez-vous sans craindre d'accéder à la piscine clôturée. Je recommanderais une voiture car les taxis ne sont pas faciles à trouver. Merci pour ces belles vacances, je suis sûr que nous reviendrons.

We spent 1 week here from 15th July to 22nd July 2022. We were a group of 25. The house is so spacious that it didn't feel like there was 25 people in it. The garden is big and spacious with locked gates and well fenced which meant the kids could run freely and loved the freedom. The pool had a great fence around it which was great as the kids couldn't access it without the adults accompanying them.
Ava met us the first day to show us around the house and was very friendly and helpful. Also Theresa the caretaker lives beside the property which was great as it was great peace of mind to know if we needed anything she was there for us. She is such a lovely kind and helpful lady.
The village is small and peaceful but had a bakery butchers pharmacy and grocery shop which was ideal.
Overall our stay at Mas del Lilja was super.

Nous avons passé 1 semaine ici du 15 juillet au 22 juillet 2022. Nous étions un groupe de 25. La maison est si spacieuse qu'elle n'avait pas l'impression qu'il y avait 25 personnes. Le jardin est grand et spacieux avec des portes verrouillées et bien clôturées, ce qui signifie que les enfants peuvent courir librement et aiment la liberté. La piscine était entourée d'une grande clôture, ce qui était super car les enfants ne pouvaient pas y accéder sans les adultes qui les accompagnaient.
Ava nous a rencontrés le premier jour pour nous faire visiter la maison et était très sympathique et serviable. De plus, Theresa, la gardienne, habite à côté de la propriété, ce qui était super car c'était une grande tranquillité d'esprit de savoir si nous avions besoin de quelque chose, elle était là pour nous. C'est une femme adorable, gentille et serviable.
Le village est petit et paisible mais il y avait une boulangerie, une boucherie, une pharmacie et une épicerie, ce qui était idéal.

Et skønt hus der kan rumme den store familie eller en stor vennegruppe. Man har mulighed for at være sammen og man har muligheden for at trække sig tilbage og slappe af alene. Alt i huset fungerer godt og poolen er meget skøn. Man tilbringer meget tid i og omkring poolen - man kan ikke lade være.
Knivene i køkkenet trænger til en opdatering og vi kunne også godt have brugt nogle små serveringsskåle, men det er småting i forhold til det samlede billede. Kan klart anbefales. I skal have ros for at komme med hurtige tilbagemeldinger på spørgsmål og hele serviceniveauet hos jer er meget fint.

The knives in the kitchen need an update and we could also have used some small serving bowls, but those are small things in relation to the overall picture. Can definitely be recommended. Une belle maison pouvant accueillir la grande famille ou un grand groupe d'amis. Vous avez la possibilité d'être ensemble et vous avez la possibilité de vous retirer et de vous détendre seul. Tout dans la maison fonctionne bien et la piscine est très belle. Vous passez beaucoup de temps dans et autour de la piscine - vous ne pouvez pas vous en empêcher.
Les couteaux de la cuisine ont besoin d'être mis à jour et nous aurions également pu utiliser de petits bols de service, mais ce sont de petites choses par rapport à l'image globale. Peut certainement être recommandé. Vous devriez être félicité pour avoir fourni des commentaires rapides sur les questions et le niveau global de service avec vous est très bien.

Het was een mooi huis! Perfect voor onze familie ( 10 volwassenen en 9 kids) Het zwembad was groot genoeg en er is genoeg ruimte om een potje te voetballen of badmintonnen etc
De slaapkamers waren groot genoeg en elke kamer had een eigen badkamer!
Wij hebben een fijne tijd gehad!

This is a very well equipped holiday house and we had everything we needed for our week. The pool is a very good size for large groups. Our group of 18 (8 adults and 10 children) loved the village, exploring the local area as well as simply spending time at the house.
