Mol de Cadamunt is the ideal retreat for a relaxing holiday if you are a nature lover and looking for a stress-free holiday surrounded by nature. Arriving from the beautiful medieval village of Sant Llorenc de la Muga (just 2.5 km. from the house), a passage to; ford of the La Muga river will take you to the other bank, and shortly after, you will arrive at; Mol de Cadamunt on the edge of the forest.

From the terrace by the small private swimming pool you can relax and hear the sounds of the forest and the peaceful sound of the La Muga river which flows from the Descent of the Pyrenees towards the coast of the Costa Brava

The layout of the house:

The exterior of Mol de Cadamunt is characterized by authentic Catalan charm with rustic limestone walls, while the interior has a modern touch. The house is kept in a minimalist style and the polished concrete floors give it a Scandinavian or Japanese touch. This style is also highlighted with the low beds and the discreet cupboard furniture. You will find a total of three bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) and two bathrooms (with shower).

Just outside; side from the house you will find the small swimming pool and the sun loungers, which are quite possibly the favorite place; children. In front of the house you will find the beautiful shaded terrace with a barbecue - the perfect place to cook and enjoy meals alfresco while enjoying the beautiful and quiet surroundings. The friendly owners of the house also live in a separate house on the grounds of the property. during the summer. They will of course give you privacy. total, but will be happy to help you.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining and living area with natural lighting. The living room overlooks the peaceful green garden. The house has three beautifully decorated bedrooms, all with double beds.

The story of the house:

Mol de Cadamunt is a house on the same property; that the mill at water on the shore of the “La Muga” river, which was used to feed the mill to; water. The windmill Water is the main home of owner Karaca and his family, who still own the mill room and equipment. If they're around, they'll be happy to show it off. their guests.

Mol de Cadamunt is in Catalan called; mundadeta, we call it the guest house. Originally, it was there. that the people who ran the mill lived. It is this house, now transformed into a beautiful guest house, that they rent, when they have no guests themselves.

For me it is one of the coziest and most beautiful villages in Catalonia and with the well-preserved medieval style. adding a historic atmosphere. It's not that big, but still there are a few restaurants in the small square, a few shops and a grocery store. During our visit we had a very good lunch menu at the restaurant. the terrace of the Samuga restaurant.
Due to the natural surroundings, the house will be an excellent starting point for hiking, biking and horse riding, and if you have other interests, you will find the house a great base for hiking, cycling and horse riding. ts, we will be happy to advise you.

Also, even if you feel like you are in a fairly isolated place, with nature and the Pyrenees in the background, you can actually go to Figueres in just 25 minutes, the beacheses from the Costa Brava in 40-45 minutes and if you want to visit France, it is also at agrave; less than 1 hour. If you want to visit Barcelona, you can either park at; Figueres station and take the train, or go to; Barcelona by car in about 2 hours.
