The apartment is 65m2, coming with a large, combined living room/kitchen area and well-sized double bedroom. In the kitchen/living room, you will find a medium-sized round wooden table, a sofa bed (which can also serve as an extra bed to sleep in), a flatscreen TV setup across the sofa bed – making it an ideal spot to relax and watch movies in – and with the kitchen in the same room, indoor dining is equally convenient.
The bedroom has a work desk-area, consisting of a wooden desk with a lamp, ideal for those who work remotely or simply need a place to use their electronic devices. The room also has an adjacent ensuite bathroom.
The house has no air coniditioning, but heating keeps it warm if needed, and a ceiling fan to keep you feeling cool and relaxed when you need a break from the sun-kissed weather. The room can be furnished with two twin beds or a king-size double bed. It is a large and bright space, isolated from the rest of the houses, ideal for long stays and offering maximum privacy.
In front of the entrance door of the house, in the garden, there is a large private area with table and chairs - ideal for outdoor meals- a parasol and sun loungers; and a few meters away, in very large shared spaces, more than one porch, solarium with sun loungers, terraces, two mobile and two fixed BBQs, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. It is very easy to find the privacy and comfort you want.
This granite stone “Mas” has become a sustainable rural accommodation, with an organic garden, home cooking and a small cellar to taste the Empordà wines. You can enjoy taking the little ones to pick the vegetables from the garden.
In the garden there are many different spaces and corners, two large porches with barbecue facilities and also a beautiful stone and wood gazebo, all by the pool and jacuzzi, both saltwater. You also find sports equipment such as some bicycles, rackets, net, balls, goal and traditional Catalan bowling. It is also worth mentioning the multitude of routes for hiking, cycling or mountain biking that surround the Mas.
The natural center in the warm Catalan summer is the beautiful pool area. Here you find the swimming pool, of 4 meters x 11 meters, jacuzzi with solarium and a gazebo. Two 2 large porches with gas and/or wood or charcoal BBQ. provide shade and the perfect place for outdoor cooking. There is also a smaller additional porch. The property has private parking and even now with electric chargers, so you can charge the car while relaxing by the pool.
The situation in the hilly landscape gives you the beautiful view to the Pyrenees separating Catalonia from France and inland you can find al kinds of outdoor activities (hiking, kayaking, cycling etc.). In the other direction, you can drive over the hills to the cosy seaside village of Port Bou, or you can drive via Figueres to the long sandy beaches in for instance Roses, and have swim in the Mediterranean Sea within only about 30 minutes drive.
Staying near Figueres, will recommend a visit to the spectacular Museo Teatro Dali, just remember to book tickets in advance to avoid the lineup. A bit further up the E-16 Motorway, you can visit Girona, which is one of our favourite cities of Catalonia. Also worth mentioning is three extraordinary nature spots: the natural parks of Cap de Creus, that of Aiguamolls (low waters) and the natural park of the Albera, they host historical monuments such as the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, that of Sant Quirze de Colera or the Castle of Requesens.
Locally, there is a cozy village in walking distance (1,5 km.). This medieval village with stone houses, is well known for the several local wineries of the DO Empordà. It is surrounded by paths with dry stone walls and vineyard landscapes that coexist with the megalithic monuments of the area. Here, you find restaurant and bakery is within walking distance.
