Casa Nan is a wonderful, old-school Catalan stone-brick farmhouse, located in the Vall de Bisaura region, at an altitude of 860 meters, and close to the slopes of the 1.25-km tall Mt. Bellmunt! The house has been renovated, but still retains its classic Catalan charm, and is located in a small, cozy village, with larger towns no more than 10 minutes away by car! Right next to the house are several walking trails you can take to explore the beautiful nature and landmarks of the local area - and with Vic, the regional capital, not far away either, you will always have a plethora of interesting activities to fill your day with. Alternatively, relaxing in Casa Nan's pristine garden - by yourself or with friends and family - is also perfect for those wanting a relaxing holiday experience where to take in the beautiful sights from the comfort of a recliner. All in all, the house and its ideal location offers something for everyone. So strap yourself in for a wonderful dive into the very essence of Catalonia - right from Casa Nan!
The house has two floors; the ground floor and first floor. It has WiFi and central heating. It can accommodate for 7 to 9 people.
On the ground floor you will find a kitchen (with a stove, oven, microwaves, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and utencils), kindling, a sunny dining/living room with a TV, and a bedroom - containing an ensuite bathroom, one double bed and one single bed.
On the first floor, you'll find two bedrooms containing single beds - both rooms also have ensuite bathrooms.
The house also comes with 1 cot for children under the age of 3, bathroom/shower towels (beach towels not included), bed sheets and blankets.
Casa Cisco has a large garden, a porch, barbecue, and a swimming pool – only shared by one other vacation home!
The village which the house is located has a café and restaurant and a church. From the village are many walking trails and interesting roads you can to explore the local environment and landmarks. The ruins of Castle Besora, for example, are only 10 minutes away on foot. A little further away, at 3.1km – 6 minutes by car and 40 minutes by walking – lies the gorgeous waterfall Salt del Mir, a tall 40m waterfall, where water gently flows down in serene surroundings. Further away are other wonderful sites, like the Montesquiu Castle.
In the charming, old-school town of Sant Quirze de Besora, located on the Ter river, you will find bars, resturants, grocery stores, a library, clothing stores, a pharmacy, a butchers’ shop, and a train station, served by the R3 line with access to both Vic and Barcelona.
11 minutes by car, from the village Casa Cisco is located in, you will find another small village, Vidra, where there is a bakery for all your breakfast needs. Alternatively, in Sant Quirze there is a café where you can also buy bread and pastries.
Further away from the local towns, you will find more of the beautiful walking trails, charming villages – and, about 30 minutes away by car, you will find Vic, the regional capital. Filled with shops, resturants, museums, churches and cafes, the town offers a good time to all who visit. Enjoy the wonders of Vic’s weekly market with friends or family, as the town blossoms into song, dance and festivity! The R3 train that goes through Vic goes on to reach Barcelona, the heart of Catalonia, so you can stop by the town for a few hours, then head on down to the Mediterranean!
