If you would like to stay in a cosy village in the Penedés wine district, with vineyards, beaches and Barcelona close by, La Pera Peu is the perfect place.
The holiday home is 110m2 and has its own entrance with a cosy terrace just outside the entrance door, providing easy access to the kitchen, in case you prefer to eat outside in the warm Catalan summer.
In the rest of La Pere Peu live the friendly owners, who are very helpful if necessary and besides that leave you will full privacy as well as the swimming pool and the garden to you. The beautiful house with its impressive rooms with high ceilings, has a curious story, as the original owner was a famous author, who left by will the house to his housekeeper, of whom the present owners are descendants.
The holiday home consists of a very big common room with open kitchen, sofa corner with fireplace as well as TV and DVD, also you can access internet by the wireless internet connection. There is a beautiful dining table, with seating for everyone. From the common room, there is access bathroom with shower cabinet. In the other end of the common room, and aisle leads to the two very spacious bedrooms, one with a big double bed, the other with a double bed and two single beds. As it emerges from the photos, this house has a very authentic atmosphere with a lot of beautiful details. For your convenience, there is an additional bed, a cot and a high chair available with no extra charge.
Outside, you have a terrace next to the kitchen and the large natural garden with shady corners and sunny spots, where the trees and plants are not controlled much, so some corners might seem a bit disorganized.
There is a very big swimming pool with the size of 11 x 5 m2, and for the kids there are swings and other toys. Swimmingpool and garden is for your exclusive use only. The owners have their own terrace around the corner.
The village is cosy, and there are several shops, for instance a bakery and a small supermarket in short walking distance. Additionally, 100 meters away you will find one of the best “every day level” restaurants we have tried in Catalonia. You will always find a lot of people in there. It is authentic Catalan country meals, perhaps accompanied by a glass of the local wine.
If you do not mind that perhaps not all details are perfect, this place provide a perfect base for swimming, relaxing and visiting vinyards, Catalan Towns and villages, the beach and not at least Barcelona.
